Ivy League-Approved Pillow

Reporting from Princeton University, a college student who is (indeed) stressed out. Activities, classes, tests, outings; the list can literally go on… and will get longer as the weather gets cooler. Part of my self soothing routine requires my Quiet Mind Weighted Pillow. Mikey Goldman, creator and founder, dealt with ADHD and found comfort in weighted blankets. But these blankets could be, well, a bit much. Thus Quiet Mind was born, the first ever weighted pillow on the market. It comes in multiple weights (6,9, and 12 pounds) and in two gorgeous colors: Agave Green and Blueberry. I opted for the 9 pound pillow in Agave Green for my de-stressing.

The first night I received my pillow I noticed how incredibly fluffy and soft the cover was, like a teddy bear fabric. I cuddled with it for about two hours as my dogs watched me (sorry pups). I put on a movie and relaxed for the rest of the evening.

The next day after a long day at class, I plopped on my bed and cuddled my Quiet Mind as I read my novel. It was a soothing experience and thanks to Quiet Mind, I was able to s-l-o-w down. Friends who come over often see the pillow as a decor piece and are shocked when they pick it up. After some explaining they finally understand and end up *ahem* “borrowing” the pillow until they are ready to leave. If you or anyone you know is heading to college this fall, pick them up a Quiet Mind pillow. They’ll thank you this semester all the way through graduation!
