I recently overheard a co-worker say that they were almost completely done with holiday shopping. Yes, we all know one of those people who is always prepared. Well, for the rest of us still sorting through our Halloween candy and thinking about our Thanksgiving menu, here is just one of my gift ideas for people (like myself) who tend to be tardy when it comes to holiday shopping.
Have you heard the quiet whir of the Blendjet commercials? It’s a brilliant and effective ad campaign in which the announcer whispers to potential consumers the benefits of owning one of these portable blenders. I was intrigued, had to get one, and fell in love with this gadget. If you haven’t heard about them yet, the following is everything you need to know:
The Blendjet is a portable blender charged and re-charged using any USB port. Think of it as your thermos+ on-the-go: It’s lightweight, has a carrying handle and measurement guide on the backside similar to a measuring cup fused with a blender. It’s also self-cleaning — just add water, soap, blend and rinse.
I’ve made smoothies with sliced fresh bananas, strawberries, frozen raspberries, a little bit of ice and then filled it up to the proper level with almond milk. Here’s the kicker: it took me only minutes to make and take to work and I saved a lot from not purchasing one at a local juice bar.
