Majestic Oud by Ahuja is a fragrance that I imagine would have been worn by some of the great female icons of the 20th century: Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, and Greta Garbo. With just one spritz, it certainly does make me feel like a movie star!

The base note of this perfume stands on the warm, earthy scent of oud, which is a rare, fragrant resin extracted from Aquilaria trees (also called Agarwood) native to Southeast Asia and India. Often referred to as “liquid gold” due to its rarity, oud is a natural resin that’s produced from the heartwood of the Aquilaria trees when infected by a mold or parasite. As a defense mechanism, the trees create the aromatic, dark resin which we know as oud.
Oud is most commonly used in perfume base notes as a fixative, which helps make the top and middle notes in the fragrance last longer to deliver a satisfying, eclectic blend of aromas.
