‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ Is Back at the Theatre at St. Clements Through March 31st!

Back in July of 2022, BeautyNewsNYC got to do a Q&A with Matt de Rogatis from Ruth Stage’s production of “Cat On a Hot Tin Roof.” Matt gave us some background on himself and his experiences in the theatre, in addition to some insight on bringing the character of Brick to life in a modernized production of the classic Tennessee Williams play, a production that, due to COVID, had been postponed five times at the time of our interview.

Cat on a Hot Tin RoofMatt portrayed Brick on stage at the Theater at St. Clement’s through August 14th, 2022, a role he had “been working on since November of 2019”. Despite the fact that Matt describes Brick as “a very exhausting role, physically and emotionally,” he feels “like he is embedded into [him.]” And now he is back in the same role for a return engagement running through March 31st at the same space!

Against the luxurious setting of wealthy Big Daddy Pollitt’s plantation, the story explores intricacies between family dynamics, especially that between husband and wife Brick and Maggie (called The Cat).

If you’re looking for a show to see that will feel delightfully new and keep you thinking long after it’s over, now’s your chance. Get your tickets for Ruth Stage’s “Cat On a Hot Tin Roof,” playing at Theatre at St. Clement’s, online HERE.
