Battle Bad Acne with Oxygenetix Medicinal Skincare | Hydro-Matrix and Oxygenating Foundation

Summer is in full throttle in New York, hitting high 80s and 90s for much of the week. All that heat along with stress, sweat, and air pollution from the seemingly non-stop construction mixes the perfect storm for aggravating the already increasing amount of adult acne being reported to dermatologists. It’s hard to tell whether it’s the environmental, sociological or genetic factors that seem to be making adult acne so much worse than before.

If you suffer from adult acne like me dear reader, and are looking for the minimal amount of products to reduce the chance of decision fatigue, Oxygenetix has two amazing skincare products that can help – The Oxygenetix Hydro-Matrix Acne Control and the Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation. (Say that five times fast I dare you). Paired together these are your shield and sword in battle against acne.

Oxygenetix medical skin care products

Both medicinal skincare products contain 2% salicylic acid while also soothing the skin with aloe based gel. However, the key is Oxygenetix’s patented Ceravitae® hero ingredient. This formula promotes skin rejuvenation through stimulating the skin to increase its oxygen uptake leading to faster cell re-growth.

Let’s dive into what your new routine might look like!

Step 1 – Oxygenetix Hydro-Matrix Acne Control Moisturizer

After cleansing your skin you would pat your skin dry and apply the Oxygenetix Hydro-Matrix Acne Control moisturizer. No need to over pump. Just apply to your problem areas or over your whole face like I did since my whole face is a problem area. There are no added fragrances, however, you might notice a light scent that is exactly what I would expect from a medicinal skincare product that packs as much acne fighting features as this – flowers in a doctor’s office.

If you have never touched products with salicylic acid before I would recommend starting small with applying every few days and then moving up to daily. Feeling extra adventurous? Move that amount up to 2-3 times daily if your skin can handle it. (That was not a challenge. )

Step 2 – Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation

You would then follow this up with Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation. I have combination skin which has oily or dry spots that never seem to stay in the same place. The choice between SPF, acne treatment and coverage used to be a sloppy mixture of products that probably did not really work together but made me feel protected against the city elements. Now, there is an actual dermatologist recommended specifically designed formula to do it all.

Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation has smooth coverage, is water resistant and fights against acne flare ups, irritation, clogged pores all while promoting healing with its own whopping 2% salicylic acid. Do not be fooled by the lightness of the formula, the coverage is real.

I recommend using a beauty blender or if using fingers apply with a gentle patting motion.

If the bottle is not dispensing when you first open it, note that it is using an airless pump. As curious as you are, don’t open the bottle and instead cover the dispenser hole with your finger as you pump (or do as I did and just keep pressing the pump until something comes out).

If you want to go even further in reducing steps, the magic of both products can be combined to create a tinted moisturizer so you only have to apply to your face once.

With this dynamic duo of medicinal skincare products, you can fight bad acne without looking like you are actually fighting bad acne.
