Anniversaries are so special. A day to celebrate the memories, growth, and ultimately, the love shared. I spent my first anniversary with my boyfriend and enjoyed the holy trinity of gifts. The pillars this year include mind, body, and spirit for a cozy night in.
For the Mind: Ametta Skin
Start the night in with a face mask or eye mask from Ametta Skin. A brand centered on wellness with high-quality gel masks that are cruelty-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free, and free from artificial fragrances.
My beau and I kicked off our night with the Lavender Collagen Face Mask and Redness Reducing Collagen Face Mask. Each mask comes in two parts and is saturated with the serum to hydrate and plump the skin. We applied the masks to each other and enjoyed our favorite YouTube series for twenty minutes as the masks worked their magic. The Redness-Reducing mask contains raspberry, aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, and marine collagen to nourish and reduce skin inflammation. The Lavender mask contains hyaluronic acid, lavender oil, and marine collagen to soothe and calm the skin.
To continue the anniversary throughout the week we added the Red Wine eye masks to our nighttime routine for a special moment before bed.
Pro Tip: Put the masks in the fridge for a chilling effect that refreshes and invigorates the skin.
For the Body: Sakuraco
Snacks are a must for a night so we traveled to Japan from our living room with a Sakuraco snack box. This month’s theme is Osaka-themed, highlighting treats from the region. Each box comes with a variety of snacks, a keepsake, and an authentic Japanese tea pairing for two. To start we sipped on the Sencha tea while going through the box.

We began with savory snacks from the spicy yet herbal Pickled Ginger Crisps and Miyako Konbu (pickled kelp) while chatting on the couch. Next, our sweet tooth kicked in with the Strawberry Cakes. A fluffy cake stuffed with a gooey sweet strawberry filling (it gave a fancy finger cake vibe). Lastly, my favorite addition to the box was the tenugui, a cloth with a cute character pattern that I’ve been using as a scarf for my hair. Sakuraco is the perfect pairing for an anniversary since it’s sharable, contains unique items, and rotates themes every month.
For the Spirit: International Star Registry
For the final gift, I surprised my love with our own star from the International Star Registry. This organization has been naming starts since the Age of Aquarius back in 1979 and currently offers packages to name your own star in the cosmos. I picked the Custom Name Star Kit to honor my anniversary on the day we met. The kit comes with a full-color parchment certificate (I got mine with calligraphy), a star chart that includes the star name, dedication, and date, and a booklet detailing astronomy, the history of constellations, and more.
Our star is a part of the Cygnus (the swan) constellation. My partner loves stars so he instantly headed outside to look for our star in the sky. We ended up seeing it which was a beautiful experience. Now anytime we look through a telescope out on a clear night, we can be reminded of our love. This kit is such a cute and unique idea for an anniversary and was the perfect end to the first anniversary. Here’s to next year and all the gifts to come!
