The Mykos Nyla Sneaker Is My New Favorite Travel Shoe

Finding the right shoes for summer travel is harder than it should be. I want something cute but practical—comfortable enough for long airport walks and sightseeing, but stylish enough that I don’t feel like I’m wearing gym shoes with every outfit. After testing out the Nyla Women’s Lace-Up Sneaker from Mykos, I think I’ve found my match.

Right out of the box, these sneakers felt lightweight and well-made. They’ve got a soft suede upper with a knit detail that adds a nice texture, and the neutral color options (White/Sand or Cream/Multi) are easy to pair with pretty much anything. I wore them with joggers, a sundress and even denim shorts—and they worked with all of it.

They’re also very comfortable and comfort is key with travel. The Ortholite® foam footbed is plush but supportive and it’s removable if you use custom insoles. The sole has a slight lift, which is perfect for a shortie like me. After a full day of walking through the airport, standing in lines and exploring a new city, my feet didn’t hurt—no rubbing, no blisters, no aching arches. That’s rare for me with new shoes.

The mesh lining kept things breathable, even in warmer temps, and the whole design has a sleek, minimal look that fits the “athleisure-meets-travel” vibe really well.

I also appreciated that Mykos gives back—a portion of every sale goes to the Ticket to Dream Foundation, which supports foster youth. It’s a small but meaningful detail that makes me like the brand even more.

If you’re looking for a pair of sneakers you can rely on for summer trips (or just busy days at home), the Nyla is worth checking out. They’re comfy, cute, and versatile—exactly what I want in a travel shoe.
