Now that summer in NYC is here, I feel like I need to stay comfortable at night to be able to get a good night’s sleep. The Evercool Cooling Comforter has become my all-time favorite top layer to sleep with. It has temperature-regulating technology that makes me feel cool and refreshed even during a hot summer night! It is super soft, and I love that even with a simple one-color fabric, the design is stitched with a cool wavy pattern which looks beautiful when I make my bed in the morning. Something that I find incredibly soothing is lighting the perfect scented candle after a long day. Every new home needs a statement piece- and I chose the Modern Dane Organic European Linen Pillowcases to do just that! Not only are these pillowcases hand-sewn in Portugal, but they are made from flax plants. These pillowcases have beautiful designs, inspired by the Nordic landscape. I chose the HØRBLOMST style (Danish for “flax flower”). The design showcases delicate blue flowers of the flax plant when it blooms in June. Since my move was in June, this was the most fitting (and beautiful) choice of design. Now, instead of placing my blanket over my pillows when making my bed- I choose to showcase my new pillowcases by placing my pillows on top! And The best part? These pillowcases are also hypoallergenic, giving my sensitive skin and good night’s rest.

On a moving day, I need to look and feel my best. I wore the Maggie Cowles x DSNY 4am Bowling top on the day of my move. This top is the definition of cool, with a trendy camp collar and cropped look for a vintage but modern feel. I love the features of this top, designed by Maggie Cowles in collaboration with DSNY (Dinner Service New York). The collaboration is inspired by the triggers of nostalgia in scenes and places, with foods being a major theme within the design. With her own works, Maggie says that the “‘4am’, tells the story of the messy reality of a gathering’s aftermath” “…tired, lonely, recently vacant but still carrying evidence that people had been there, stories were shared, and memories made”. I love the story of this top, and I love how soft and silky it feels.
