Uncomplicated & Enjoyable Tween Skincare: Q & A With Armine Shamiryan Founder of Savv Jolie

Savv Jolie is a phenomenal brand that was created for girls who want effortless skincare that feels premium. Non-toxic and effective, Savv Jolie works on all skin types and every routine. I recently had the privilege of speaking with Founder Armine Shamiryan to learn about her innovative brand, background and more.

Thank you for joining us. What was your motivation to start your own skincare line?

As a mom of three girls, I saw firsthand how early kids were becoming interested in skincare. My daughters were constantly asking me for products they’d seen online and on social media, and when I started looking into them, I realized most weren’t designed with young, developing skin in mind. I wanted to create something different, a skincare that felt elevated and beautiful, yet still gentle, clean, and carefully formulated. Savv Jolie was built around simplifying skincare and focusing on what truly matters: supporting and protecting the skin barrier, especially for sensitive and developing skin. With Savv Jolie products you never have to second-guess what you’re putting on your skin.

What sets Savv Jolie apart from other tween skincare brands?

What sets Savv Jolie apart is the level of care and intention behind every formula. When developing these products, I wasn’t just focused on creating something effective. I wanted to create skincare that was mild, clean, safe, and truly appropriate for sensitive and developing skin. Many products marketed to teens and tweens can be too harsh or overly complicated for younger skin. We wanted to take a different approach by creating minimal, thoughtfully formulated products that support and protect the skin barrier instead of overwhelming it. What I’m most proud of is how well our formulas score on ingredient safety apps, and that’s a direct reflection of how intentional we were when choosing every ingredient that goes into our products.

What is the significance of the brand’s name?

The name Savv Jolie is very personal to me because it was inspired by my daughters, who were the reason for this brand. “SAVV” comes from our last name, Shamiryan, along with the first letters of my three girls, Adrianna, Valentina, and Victoria. From the beginning, I knew I wanted them to be part of the brand because without them, Savv Jolie wouldn’t exist. Jolie, which means pretty in French felt like the perfect fit because it captured the feeling I wanted the brand to reflect. But to me beauty is about more than appearance, it’s about feeling confident and comfortable in your own skin. Together, the name tells both the story behind the brand and the feeling we hope people have when they use our products.

Working in the skincare industry for so many years do you have a couple of top tips you could share with us?

I spent over three and a half years working closely with a chemist to develop Savv Jolie, so a lot of back and forth with testing and small adjustments, until every product felt exactly right. That process taught me a lot. The biggest takeaway is that skincare doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. Less really is more, especially for sensitive or developing skin. Everything comes back to the skin barrier. When it’s healthy, your skin is balanced and protected, and that should always be the priority. I also learned to pay attention to ingredients, not just marketing. Just because a product is popular doesn’t mean it’s right for your skin.

Anything else we should know?

What’s most important to know about Savv Jolie is that every detail was created with intention. I spent over three and a half years testing and refining the formulas until each product felt exactly right. For me, it was never about creating trendy skincare or a complicated routine. I wanted to create products that help people feel confident in their skin while keeping the focus on what truly matters: healthy, balanced skin. I’m so proud that we’ve been able to create products that feel luxurious but are still gentle and approachable enough for everyday use. More than anything, I hope Savv Jolie makes people feel good about what they’re putting on their skin.
