Where to begin? Any NARS collab is fashion forward, since the brand routinely partners with visionaries in that realm. And you can always rest assured that any cash you drop on NARS products is money well spent. The brand never, ever scrimps on quality or timeless makeup that can be worn across seasons. The NARS x Erdem Collection is the most epic makeup collab you will experience all year. Packaged in soft-touch, blue grey cases with swirlish, watercolor-like designs, what’s inside is just as gorgeous as what’s outside. The Fleur Fatale Eyeshadow Palette is six rectangular pans of summer-ready shades. You can do a rainy day smoky eye, thanks to all of the grays and browns contained within.
The Night Garden Eyeshadow Palette is all drama, drama, and more drama — it’s filled with golds and dark blues and grays. It has an almost peacock-like vibe. Another standout is the Poison Rose Lip Powder Palette. I dipped my finger in the pans, dabbed product on my lips for a blotted, “lived in” look, and fell promptly in love with the matte texture. It’s like putting eyeshadow on my lips and the result is heavenly. It wears more comfortably than a liquid lippie, too! I played around and designed ombre lips that were wearable and didn’t come across as ridiculous or too editorial — that is, like they came from the pages of a mag and look totally silly IRL. The White Fox Multi Use Highlighter Pencil is like unicorn tears in crayon form. I swiped on the inner corners of my eyes and on my cupid’s bow for a little holographic glow.
Thanks you, NARS, for constantly raising the bar.
