It’s a Vibe: Fashion Meets High-Tech

Sheer wizardry! Ditch your uninspiring sunglasses for unflappably cool and calming Prismatic color changing “fun-glasses” with Bluetooth audio.

Good-bye earbuds. To listen to music, a tap to the left temple of Chamelo’s  Aura— “Calm” Prismatic eyewear instantly delivers clear open-audio sound via Bluetooth. When I want to power off, I simply do the opposite of what I did to power on—close the temples.

It’s not hard to understand why Aura was named one of Time magazine’s “Best Inventions of 1924.” These sunglasses are a technological wonder, allowing me to view a shifting color palette of ruby, indigo, violet, or crystal-clear lens color by tapping on Aura’s right temple. The Calming lens color selection is dope! I love every color. To make a bolder fashion statement with energizing color, Aura is also available in an Energy Lens color palette featuring a shifting sequence of  pink, yellow, orange, or clear color.

The designer-level, lightweight stainless steel and titanium frame fits comfortably on my face and the lenses offer 100% UVA/UVB protection. However, the lenses aren’t as dark as the lenses in my black polarized sunglasses, so I don’t wear Aura when the sun is especially intense and glaring.

A Few Final Thoughts

Aura doesn’t have a camera like many smartglasses do. That is not a drawback for me, but it might be a drawback for some. Also, although I am happy with Aura’s rectangular rimless lens style, it might not be a good style choice for everyone. Therefore, I’d like to see Chamelo add more frame options. Are you listening, Chamelo?
