Is At-Home High Frequency Skin Therapy Right For You?

Meet the powerful device elevating skincare routines with Argon and Neon technology and fusion-powered applicators.

Skincare goals? What are yours? If you want to move beyond basic skincare, Pure Daily Care’s NuDerma Clinical High Frequency Wand is a good choice if your goal is to improve circulation, stimulate collagen production, and eliminate acne-causing bacteria. It’s not time-consuming either!  I don’t enjoy complex skincare routines and appreciate NuDerma’s light treatment schedule of  two minutes to three-minutes maximum, two times a week, per area. I never treat my skin for more than five minutes total per session.

The Process

NuDerma’s Clinical High Frequency Wand is more powerful than NuDerma’s Standard version. Before using this device, I recommend asking your dermatologist if it is appropriate for your skin type. Ask whether you should use the red/orange neon electrode or the violet/blue argon electrode and what is the safest treatment schedule for your situation. Watch this video  for tips on safely and effectively using this device.

I use the Clinical High Frequency Wand at a low frequency. Before each session, I remove my jewelry and  shut off the lights so I can see the glowing violet light rise within the tube. Then I turn the light back on and begin. To prevent a mild shock, I allow the electrode to touch my skin before removing my finger from the wand. With the Clinical High Frequency Wand edition, there are  five glass applicators for use on different areas of the face. There is also a Comb Tube that stimulates and energizes  hair follicles.  After treating my skin, I typically follow-up with a serum application. I don’t use retinol or glycolic acid skincare products. If you do, you will not be able to use those products on the days you use the NuDerma Clinical High Frequency Wand.

The Verdict

Because the process is relaxing and uncomplicated, it is easy to stick to a consistent schedule. I look forward to each session and especially enjoy using The Comb tube on my scalp and hair. After weeks of use,  the high frequency wand hasn’t produced a dramatic difference in my skin but I’ve noted a subtle improvement in texture. I wasn’t expecting miracles so I am pleased with that result. I expect to see more visible improvement with continued use.

A Final Note

If you wish to purchase this highly popular high frequency wand, first read about the contradictions on the device’s product page. This device cannot be used with certain medical conditions or if you are pregnant.  Usage should be discontinued if a negative reaction occurs during or after use. To ensure the best results, reading the entire User Manual is highly recommended. My sensitive skin has never reacted negatively after a session with the Clinical High Frequency Wand but reactions vary.
