Treat Your Friends (Or Yourself) with the 12 Days of Rodial’s Advent Calendar

Even though we’re still in spooky season, holiday decorations have already taken over stores. Seeing sparkling lights and chocolates that I keep telling myself not to buy has reminded me that I need to start shopping for, or at least considering, what to get my friends for Christmas.

One gift I’ve found that my friends like (and I do too) are advent calendars. While sweet treats are always welcome, we do love advent calendars full of beauty goodies. So I’ve been on the hunt for the best beauty advent calendars this season.

The 12 Days of Rodial’s Advent Calendar is a delightful beauty advent calendar. Featuring a mix of skincare and makeup, the calendar comes in a chic black box so you don’t even have to wrap it. The calendar includes a face mask, three eye patches, a glowlighter, a lowlighter, blush drops, snake oil drops, snake serum, cleansing water, lip oil, and a mini brush.

While the makeup is great, the real standout is the skincare. Despite the name, the snake serum and snake oil doesn’t actually have any snake or venom in them. They have SYN ®-AKE tripeptides, which are inspired by viper venom peptides. These are designed to help smooth your complexion, which the snake serum did for me! Traditionally, the snake serum is used as a primer before makeup, but I used it as a normal part of my skincare routine. The snake oil drops also include SYN ®-AKE tripeptides as well as a mixture of oils and omega 3 and 6. The result helped smooth out my uneven skin tone, and didn’t make my very oily skin more oily.

The most unique gift is the Snake Oxygenating & Cleansing Bubble Sheet Mask. When I unwrapped the mask, I was surprised to see it covered in soapy bubbles. As I put it on my face, I could feel the bubbles working their way into my skin, a feeling I’ve never experienced with any other type of face mask. I had fun watching as the bubbles formed on the outside of the mask, feeling as though my face had been submerged in its very own bubble bath. When I took the mask off, I massaged in the remaining bubbles.

The mask itself is designed to remove dirt, dead skin cells, and excess oil. The bubbles are O2 bubbles, which I learned are designed to both exfoliate and hydrate the skin. I plan to incorporate O2 bubbles into my exfoliating routine.
