When I need to chop up a few onions, carrots, nuts, or peppers, using a food processor or blender to chop or puree feels like overkill. So, I’ve switched to using Kuhn Rikon’s Pull Chop Utility Chopper. This 3-cup capacity chopper is easy to use, and easy to clean. It chops up food quickly using manual cord pulls – ranging from several pulls for coarsely cut ingredients such as mushrooms to 20 pulls for recipes requiring more finely chopped ingredients. One can use the Pull Chop to grind up breadcrumbs, create homemade dips, or to whip up a few of the tasty recipes in the instruction booklet. The Pull Chop’s lidded compartment enables me to store freshly chopped ingredients in the refrigerator until I’m ready to cook, and I love that. Most of all, I don’t miss cleaning a bulky food processor after whipping up freshly made olive tapenade.
