The Spring Equinox is finally here and there is a vibrant energy going through the air this season. So why not usher in the longer days with springy themed items. My picks for a floral and fresh moment this month.
Cake Bloom
There’s nothing like a sweet slice to usher in warm weather and the Cake Bloom 8 piece sampler box is the perfect way to celebrate spring. A sister ran bakery in Virginia offers shipped slices of their top selling flavors and three seasonal creations. I spent the evening with loved ones trying the box with a pot of peppermint tea. The box came with a ranking sheet to keep track of the tasting throughout the evening. The cakes were moist and crumbly with a variety of flavors like Floral Funfetti and Rainbow Carrot. In the end, the Persian Love— pistachio, rose, and raspberry cake— was the fan favorite.
Poised Saint
Everyone’s been going wild for the trendy glosses and lip butters but what about a lip serum? A luscious formula that cushions the lips for hours is found in Poised Saint. A Black woman owned brand that hydrates my lips without the goopy finish. The metal tip cools any chapped skin and Hyaluronic Acid hydrates and plumps the lips. Poised Saint stays even through sipping water, sleeping, talking, and even in the sauna. This lip serum is my new fav for a pretty pout.
Keap Candle
Though farmer markets aren’t back (yet) I enjoy the smells of fresh herbs— without the green thumb. Scents of watery cucumbers, earthy cilantro, and yummy basil can be found in the Green Market candle from Keap Candles. I love the green fragrance that is different from all the other spring candles on the market (that usually lend floral heavy). Green Market is grabbing my favorite tote and filling it up with delicious herbs for a home cooked meal. Absolutely perfection in my eyes
Wild Alaskan Company
No need to wait for the waters to warm up to get some tasty fish this season. Fresh salmon, buttery halibut, and smooth sablefish can be found in Wild Alaskan Company’s Premium Marinated Wild Combo Gift Box. These prepped fillets make last minute dinners taste a proper meal by simply defrosting and frying up in a skillet or airfrying. I still dream of the sablefish with the miso sauce from this box.
Lush Kitchen Box
Everything is in full bloom… in my shower. Smells of florals; from violet to roses to grass. Ok the last one sounds odd but it works (I swear). This Blooming Lovely box has seven products including a full size of Chelsea Garden, an OG Lush scent, that transports me to a meadow fill with fresh flowers. My favorite is The Rush a soft yet awakening lotion that hydrates with cocoa butter and olive oil and smells like the first day of spring with balsam fir, lemon peel, and geranium. This month’s box brings nature into my bathroom and I’m so here for it.
