Zoom meetings have brought our faces into focus, and although now, with vaccines we can reveal our faces more often, Zoom is here to stay. While you may not need a major change, just a small tweak can make a big difference. In my case it was my lower face that needed a lift. I visited the Glendale, NY location, and my consultation was with Jennifer DiLandro, or “Jen” as everyone calls her. Jen suggested that I needed just a “zhuzh,” on my lower face, which made me crack up laughing. A what? How do you even spell that? But it was a perfect description of what I wanted. Jen really listens to her patients, and you feel like she has your best interests at heart. Jen recommended Radiesse for my lower face, which is a filler that helps to build collagen over time and lasts for one year or more.
Having Jen inject your filler is like hanging out with a friend who just happens to be pinching your face a little too hard. I was so involved in conversation, and happily distracted, that I barely felt the injections. Before I knew it, I was done.
I looked in the mirror and was so happy, I could have kicked up my heels if I knew how. Of course, Jen reminded me that I had some slight swelling that contributed to my look and gave me some ice packs. But I had no more pebbled chin, or deep lines around my mouth. It now matched the rest of my natural, not 25-year-old, face. Just a zhuzh, was more than enough.
I highly recommend Dolce Aesthetics and Jen. But, be warned that you must go to your follow up appointments or like me, who delayed coming back, you will be scolded Jen style. She will lovingly, but firmly make sure you never do it again. I delayed too long and ended up having some of the filler unsettled, which is common with Radiesse, but fortunately, Jen was able to work her magic and massage the tiny lumps away along with injecting a solution.
