Everyone knows that March Madness extends into April. The final game is on
Monday, April 2nd — the line-up is getting heated. Here are our top 3 places to watch the ultimate and penultimate games in New York City. Get into the team spirit and put on your team’s colors, set the date and gather up your friends for a great night out to watch the outcome.
#3: Inside The Sanctuary Hotel is Tender Restaurant – it’s directly off of Times Square. For watching the hoops, they are offering a special menu and multiple TVs so the games can be seen while you dine. The restaurant has several 55” HD TVs and two 82” projector screens. For bites, enjoy avocado fries and their mac & cheese. They also offer a special that they call “Game Day Wings.” The beer and cocktail menu is extensive. It’s a convenient space for everyone to gather in midtown.

#2: For March Madness, Treadwell Park on the Upper East Side offers craft beer, mixed drinks and cocktails as well as plenty of space to watch the finals. Their picnic benches on the second floor make for the perfect gathering – think of it as basketball tailgating, city style. Enjoy the free popcorn and try one of their brews with fans and family. Check out their Super Schnitzel made with lightly breaded fried chicken, fried egg, truffle oil, sautéed spinach and potato wedges. This place is popular with sports fans especially locals from the East Side.

#1: On April 2nd, visit Papillon Bistro and Bar. They will be showing the games along with table games. Starting at 7:30 pm the bistro/bar will be hosting a beer pong bracket-style tournament in their main floor Prohibition Room. There is a chance to win $1000 cash prize. You may also want to absorb all those suds with their Charcuterie Platter made with saucissan a’lail, prosciutto, bresola, pate de campagne and chorizo.
