Keeping It Simple Skincare

This year, streamline your skincare routine with these minimal effort, highly effective glow-makers.

If you have sensitive skin like mine, a minimalist approach reduces the risk of irritation and a harsh negative reaction. Discussed here, are two top-notch additions to my daily skincare routine,  focusing on hydration and soothing, gentle care.

Soothing and Regenerating KelpGlow® Facial Oil (Fragrance Free)

Because my skin is super-sensitive, I am ultra-picky about what I put on my skin. Seaweed has always been my hero skincare ingredient due to its exceptional ability to soothe and hydrate my skin without irritating it, That is exactly why luscious KelpGlow Facial Oil is my “go-to” facial oil after cleansing my skin at night. Three drops is all I need to hydrate my skin with this soothing seaweed and nourishing oils (jojoba, argan and plum) formula.

The result? My skin feels smooth and silky after applying the lightweight, non-greasy formula. I also love that the seaweed is harvested in Maine and does not contain preservatives, dyes, or artificial fragrance.

Here is a helpful “Pro tip” from KelpGlow’s website: For extra dry skin (think mid-January in Maine), apply moisturizer first and seal in with KelpGlow® Facial Oil. Rub any extra product onto the back of hands.

Multitasking DrLouie All-In-One Essence

If you are serious about paring down your skincare routine, a single bottle of this essence serves as an immense time-saver and skincare product eliminator. DrLouie’s All-In-One-Essence acts as a toner, serum, moisturizer, and face oil for individuals with dry skin. It was dermatologically tested for low irritation and did not irritate or cause my skin to react negatively. During the skin-drying winter months, I spread the milky formula across my face, neck, décolletage, and hands before heading out into the cold weather. It is not a heavy cream formula or oil. Its lightweight formula goes on easily and hydrates without clogging my pores.

DrLouie’s Pro Tip: For collagen boosting, apply a Vitamin C serum before applying the All-In-One-Essence.
