For the first time in my life, I feel like I have a perfected makeup routine. Maybe it’s due to my recent 30th birthday, but I’ve been feeling inspired to get rid of all the excess products I keeping thinking I’m going to use one day. I’m saying goodbye to that silver glitter I wore once on New Year’s Eve and the lilac blush that was trending a few years ago, and hello to a streamlined curation of products that may not be TikTok viral, but perform to the nines. The following discoveries, all of which I found in 2025, have simplified my mornings, boosted my confidence, and made me feel put-together while still looking like myself.
Colorescience Total Eye® 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35
I won’t lie. This might be the single best product I discovered in 2025. I’d been on the hunt for something that would subtly disguise undereye darkness while looking 100% natural. Frankly, I’ve hated how every single concealer I’ve ever tried has looked under the eye, and illuminating eye creams just don’t offer enough coverage. That’s why this product is perfection – it’s lightly tinted and melts in, offering the perfect amount of enhancement without looking cakey. Plus, it has SPF.
MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Smooth & Blur Undetectable Under Eye Concealer
After the Colorescience is on, I will use this around the eye area (lids, inner corner, etc) to neutralize any redness. I don’t actually apply it directly under the eyes, but it’s so blurring and lightweight that it works on other areas of the face as well.
Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Concealer
This is the product that I use instead of foundation. Rather than applying all over the face, though, I put on a sheer layer where absolutely necessary. If you can get away with it, keep the forehead and nose bare; it gives the illusion of makeup-free skin. I learned this tip from @violette_fr.
Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain
Now, it’s time to add color. Benetint is a miracle product for me, as it leaves the most natural-looking shade of rose on the lips and lasts for hours. I usually apply a little to the cheeks, too, even if I am planning on applying another blush, because it’s so long-lasting. It also smells divine.
Glossier Cloud Paint Plush Blush
The blush I’ve been obsessed with is this new Glossier formulation in the shade Bloom. It’s so bouncy and soft, and it has a matte finish that just ends up looking like skin. I also just love the packaging – it’s such a fun product to use.
Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash™ Extensions Tubing Mascara
For mascara, all I want it something that looks natural enough and won’t flake off during the day. This one is fluttery and soft, and is in the tubing formulation, which means it doesn’t smudge (it comes off in little tubes when you wet it). I also just love how dedicated this brand is to giving back to the community.
Rare Beauty Brow Harmony Flexible Lifting Gel
Brows frame the face – brushing them up just a little bit changes my whole look. This one sets them in place and – the most important thing – doesn’t get crusty or flakey. I like how fluffy they look, rather than slicked back.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
The final step is adding shine to the lips. The best gloss I’ve found is actually a lip balm, and it’s this viral Summer Fridays product. If I’m leaving my house, my bare minimum is brows and lip balm. My favorite shade of this is currently Pink Sugar.
