Sweed’s Lash Lift Mascara is the mascara Nicki Glaser wore to the Golden Globes. The formula is blacker-than-black and the wand has a super skinny, comb-like brush, so it coats each and every little ‘n’ last las for that doll-like, Twiggy look. I am able to apply it with such precision and control. My lashes looked extension-like with just one-and-a-half coats. IDK what sorcery comprises the formula, but it’s good. Grab a tube or two and your eyes will look big and beautiful.
Clinique’s Black Honey Almost Lipstick is a cult classic with a disciple-like following, and with good reason. The blend of blue, red, and yellow pigments, encased in a creamy, sheer base, melts into lips. It may look dark and intimidating in the tube, but it goes on glossy and amplifies natural tones. You will not be able to live without the Black Honey version of Quickliner Lip Liner. It defines and gives your Black Honey lippie a matching base to adhere to, elongating wear. The Quickliner glides without tugging or pulling as it defines, contours, and fills in lips. The Nude Honey Quickliner is also pretty dope and universal. TBH, you can wear EITHER as a semi-matte lipstick, with nothing over top. #Versatile
MAC has reimagined its Powder Kiss Lipstick formula as Powder Kiss Hazy Matte. It’s different than the brand’s Macximal formula in that it’s more soft focus and blurred, and boasts a petal soft rather than lip-hugging finish. The color and coverage are sheer-to-medium and buildable, rather than pigment rich and full. I reach for Be My Bridesmaid (a perfect soft pink) 100 times a day when I want color and just a hint of texture without shine.
Brown mascara? That’s an anomaly to me, as I have thick, coarse, straight, and mega black lashes. But Babe Original is going for the “no makeup” makeup vibe with a brown version of its 4Real Mascara. The best-selling black version is known for its skin-forward, kind-to-lashews formula. Now, it’s just a bit softer in brown! The silicone wand has super duper fine bristles so you can get to every lash. The formula has lengthening Apple Stem Cells; strengthening Olive Stem Cells; nourishing Shea Butter; and condition Castor Seed Oil. Brown is just a softer, more subtle shade than jet black and you can give your lashes all the benefits of mascara without another layer of super dark color.
LOOPS Beauty Mouth Tape is way MORE than a lip mask! It is a lip, jaw and breathing treatment. It’s a one-and-done mouth tape that comes in a pack. You place over your lips while sleeping to lock in moisture overnight while supporting the skin barrier. It’s got a peptide complex, hydrolyzed collagen, and hyaluronic acid, so it’s quite a good-for-your skin cocktail of STUFF! It’s also said to promote jaw alignment and while I cannot really find any proof of that claim during my own usage of this mega hydrating product, it still made my lips soft AF during the later winter season! It’s also said to help remote nasal breathing, so you can rest more deeply. That tracks, since you’re covering your mouth and forced to rely on breathing through your nose, so…. That said, the super soft lips that I woke up with made me happy.
