DISCORDIA: The Uninvited Feminine

Named for the Goddess of discord and strife, contention and rivalry, dwarf planet Eris was discovered in 2005 in the far reaches of the untouched sky. A trans-neptunian object (TNO) associated with the uninvited feminine, astrologically Eris is related to female warriors, whistle-blowers, instigators, provocateurs and speaking truth to power.  Before taking the name of Greek Battle Goddess Eris, the dwarf planet was called ‘Planet X’ and ‘Xena Warrior Princess.’ As the sister-friend or feminine face of Warrior Ares (Roman Mars), Eris constitutes the untapped reservoirs of righteous feminine rage. While she is not new to our solar system, the timing of her discovery very much coincides with the evolving currents of feminine discord and the rise of gender-based liberation.  As an embodiment of the struggle against injustice and oppression, Eris’s bloodthirsty nature is engaged in service of the underdog, the silenced and oppressed. Unlike the potentially unruly terror of Mars, the forces of feminine chaos and disruption serve life and justice, rather than death or conquest. Attuned to the Queen of the Shadows, Eris represents our strength and wisdom gained in darkness. Inviolate and anti-fragile, she is a truth bomber and cultural disruptor – trading fear and strife for the potency of instinctual knowing. As the vital feminine warrior for just cause, Eris willingly accompanies warriors into battle, as a mother tiger might kill in order to feed her young. While Ares fights because he wants to, Eris fights out of necessity.

With many manifestations of Eris constellating our contemporary culture, from #MeToo to Black Lives Matter, Eris’s discovery signifies the mobilization of discontent, aggression, anger and assertiveness wedged against humanity’s darker side. Much like her general aura of being controversial (the femme fatal that is ‘too much’ for polite society to bear), around the time of her discovery, Eris was poised to be named the 10th planet in our solar system when suddenly astronomers swerved. As a planetary body associated with disruption, her discovery itself would come to defy the former lexicon of categorization. Instead of honoring her as a remote celestial body equal to transpersonal planets like Neptune or Uranus, astronomers decided instead to reclassify Pluto, Eris, and Ceres as a trio of dwarf planets, making Neptune the end of the line and anything beyond, a trans-Neptunian object. As the sky continually reveals more and more asteroids, most of them have subsequently been named for unsung heroines or indigenous creator deities.  “Eris opened up a big scary can of Centaurs, Plutinos, Cubewanos and TNO’s. A Goddess as an outer planet?! Time to contain and control,” opines Darkstar Astrology. Needless to say, wherever Eris falls in your natal chart, it is an area of life where you are called to ruthlessly take a stand for what is right.

Taking over 560 years to orbit around the sun, Eris’s placement within the zodiac seems rather stationary to the naked eye. Traveling in the shadow of Pluto, Eris’s snail-like pace makes her influence in a natal chart generational and frequently overlooked altogether. Having been in Aries since June of 1922 (where she will stay until 2044), nearly everyone alive today shares the natal Eris in Aries placement. In the astro-insights to follow, I have delineated Eris by house rather than sign to reveal a more personalized influence for readers. Some say that it is due to her slowness that few astrologers work with her, others that it is because, perhaps, living under white male patriarchy, we are ill-equipped to fully acknowledge or understand the dimensions of female rage. As astrologer Steven Forrest warns, many of us are ignoring Eris at our own peril. And yet, as the uninvited feminine, she makes her way into our lives nonetheless, often when we least expect it.

In cultures around the world, we find ferocious goddesses of battle, transcultural parallels to Eris such as Hindu Kali and Durga, Greek Warrior Princess Athena, Lion-headed Egyptian Sekhmet, Celtic Morrigan, Freyja of Norse myth, Anat of the Near East, and Inanna or Ishtar of Mesopotamia, among many more. In all of these female protectors, we can observe an ability to bring victory in battle, an energy that upholds cosmic balance. Even the original Venus, demoted under patriarchy to passive lover or wife, was originally a Warrior Goddess. In fact, ancient Mayans looked to Venus, the brightest star in the night sky, when deciding to go to war (read more about the planet’s dual nature as Lover/Warrior in my February BEAUTYSCOPE).

Astrologer Ada Pembroke shares some of the mythology associated with Eris’s Greek title, including how she haunts the battlefield, delights in bloodshed and increases the piercing screams of men dying in battle. She not only calls forth war and discord (Roman name Discordia), her insatiable desire for bloodshed means she lingers far after all others have withdrawn, rejoicing in havoc. A representative of human suffering, Eris is our ‘Lady of Sorrow,’ a being who gladdens at the threat of all systems’ collapse, in the tumult and terror of war. Eris has been called the gluttonous mouth of strife, infernal monster, waker of onset-shouts, and the aweless and daring daughter of night who drives women to murder their husbands

Infamous for throwing the golden apple in rivalry with Hera, Aphrodite and Athena, she is credited for inciting the Trojan War as well as mothering the demons known as Toil, Forgetfulness, Starvation and Pain – not to mention a little nasty called Dysnomia (lawlessness and bad government). Pembroke suggests that wherever Eris appears in our chart, it is an indicator that something in our lives has met its bitter end, writing, “If we are brutally honest, if we could play a hand in making those things die, we would be like Eris, laughing through the battlefield.” In one understanding of her role in Greek mythology, she is split into two – one good and one bad Eris. While the ‘evil’ Eris carelessly promotes bloodshed and slaughter, the ‘good’ Eris signifies the value of envy, competition and strife as an instigator of change and forward movement. In other words, the good Eris inspires competition, which enables the so-called ‘lazy’ to better themselves.

In the words of Molly McCord, a rare astrologer who has dedicated a series of podcast episodes to the outerlying dwarf planets and asteroids, Eris is the woman scorned, the compulsion to seek revenge at any cost – the feminine energies that have been repressed, that have struggled to be acknowledged and seen. As if traveling in the shadow of Pluto were not enough, as the feisty younger sibling of Mars, Eris is the aggression pulsing through our veins and the unresolved parts of our soul’s evolution. As queen of the emotional underworld, ultimately, the goal of the uninvited feminine is not terror or abjection, informs McCord. Underneath all the blood-boiling rage is a misunderstood longing to be loved. If Pluto represents our soul growth, Eris is our soul’s unfinished business, the taboos and touchy places even the lord of the underworld cannot and does not encompass. Often, Eris is merely fighting for her right to exist. For some, she may manifest as actual war, violence, or abuse, for others as inflammation, aggression, or repressed rage.

Since 2020 and beyond, Eris has taken on a significant cultural role driving the Eris in Aries soul group into uncharted territories. With Mars, ruler of Aries, being a personal planet, this connection through blood humanizes Eris. In Aries, says McCord, we must think about Eris in terms of bloodlines and generational trauma – everything that inspires our blood to boil with instinctual aggression or deep-seated rage. For far too long, Eris energy has had no proper avenue of release. When working with Eris, ask yourself, in what ways can you integrate the volatile feeling states of anger, strife and discord as spiritual lessons? Currently in the third deacon of Aries, the sign of self, this transit is about the search for inner fulfillment and mastery of aggression; reflecting the embodied evolution of the divine feminine over a hundred-year period in mass consciousness. That is, women coming into their own, the search for independence from patriarchy’s gilded cages of financial and emotional servitude. In the sign of rebirth, Eris arrives to catalyze a deeper understanding of exactly what needs to be resolved, providing the fuel of courage and a more fortified sense of self.

In subsequent podcast episodes, McCord walks us through the progression of Eris through the third deacon of Aries by sabian symbol, culminating in the Sun-Eris square that this past July. Think back to 2019, when Eris was posted at 23° Aries, sabian symbol: A PREGNANT WOMAN IN LIGHT SUMMER DRESS. A symbol of fecundity, this moment in time signaled not only the birthing of a new and more aggressive feminist consciousness in the masses, but a collective search for inner personal fulfillment. In 2020, Eris was squared by Pluto (Lord of Death/Regeneration) and Jupiter (The Great Benefic). What’s more, anytime a planet travels through the cardinal signs [Cancer/Capricorn/Libra], it makes an opposition or conjunction to Eris in Aries. In a slow crawl of transmutation, Eris’s influence is like a purifying fire, burning away impurities to clear the path ahead and make the incomprehensible crystal clear. As Eris shifts into 24° Aries (2019-2023), we encounter the sabian symbol associated with an influx of spiritual energies:  BLOWN INWARD BY THE WIND, THE CURTAINS OF AN OPEN WINDOW TAKE THE SHAPE OF A CORNUCOPIA. In other words, this is the rising up of the uninvited feminine, she who demands to be heard, she who helps us all reclaim our lost power and find the courage to express how it is we need to be loved. At this stage of Aries, the lamb/ram/fool of the zodiac, the feminine warrior discovers that her raw emotions and power are relevant to society after all. And that she is not a victim of chaos and discord, but its agent.

Fast forward to 2025, by the time we felt the Sun’s square to Eris and Chiron in Aries, the dwarf planet of discord and strife was perched at 24° Aries, sabian symbol: Win-win for the best outcome. A double promise. unlimited capacity for seeing the world and self both inwardly and outwardly. The keyword here is sensibility. When positive, this degree suggests cooperation and a facility of harmony. When not, it refers to insincerity and the chicanery evident in human nature. With the Sun square, many of us experienced emotional turbulence, painful triggers which heightened our burgeoning self-awareness and self-empowerment. With ongoing celestial tensions emphasizing Cancer-Aries themes since the winter solstice, McCord speaks to a deep divide of discomfort based in the reality that Cancer craves security and connection while Aries craves autonomy. With Eris stationed in cardinal fire, it is as if our fundamental sense of security (or lack of it) is being provoked. Maybe you are identifying familial patterns of self-sacrifice or denial that have robbed generations within your feminine lineage of their rightful sovereignty.

“When you work with these energies honestly and truthfully, you can purge unneeded emotional baggage,” explains McCord. Ultimately, doing the inner work reveals a deeper message around soul empowerment and healing. While Eris can be incredibly ruthless and intense, she’s also guiding us into our fearlessness, where we fully honor our sovereign path and what it means to step into greater self-leadership, highlights Molly. Emotional fears get triggered once we are ready to evolve. With the Sun in Cancer (emotional needs), there’s a clear opportunity to shift a trajectory and step into self-sovereignty and personal leadership as never before. But it only happens when we consciously move through the discomfort and pain! Ask yourself, are you living life in reactive fury, or are you able to temper rage to deliver the truth with a quality of higher perspective and wisdom that can be heard?

As astrologer Wilfred Hazelwood writes, “Chaos often reveals itself as necessary evolution.” In Aries, this conjures up the nature of seemingly unbearable birthing pains, the generative qualities of discord (hence the app called Discord, which organizes collective dissonance). With a hefty helping of cosmic drama, Eris reminds us that female rage is not here to be analyzed or managed any more than it is to be demeaned or dismissed. “Chaos isn’t merely destructive; it’s often the necessary breaking of calcified systems to make way for something new,” writes Hazelwood. Speaking to one of our most distant planetary bodies, Hazelwood highlights how sometimes it is in fact the ‘outsider’ perspectives that provide the clearest view. As an energy we’re still learning and making sense of, unlike the palatable, 2-dimensional ambassadors of the feminine created by patriarchy (Virgin-Whore, Mother-Lover, Sister-Wife), Eris is not an energy that is here for our comfort, nor does she reward our complacency.

As the feminine warrior, Eris’s glyph bears curious resemblance to that of Venus and Mars, the cosmic lovers.  With a circle resembling the glyph of Venus and a downward pointing arrow resembling the glyph of Mars, the downward flow of the glyph signals Eris’s comfort with the underworld, the infernal realms of death and regeneration, shadow work and transmutation. In a natal chart, Eris signifies constructive discord, poetic justice, flamboyant militancy and those areas of life where one must fight to be seen and heard. By both transit and natal placement, astrologers associate Eris with competition, activism and brutal (often sexual) violence. In addition to the associations organized by house in the astro-insights to follow, for a deeper dive, check to see if Eris is aspected by significant personal planets (Sun/Moon/Venus/Mars) or angles in your chart (Ascendant/Descendant, Midheaven/IC or the Lunar Nodes of Fate).

To illustrate another way that Eris works beyond her placement by sign and house, I’ve identified significant Eris placements in the charts of Pam Anderson (Eris conjunct Saturn), bell hooks (Eris opposite Mercury), A$AP Rocky (Eris opposite Sun) and most poignantly, actress Rose McGowan (Eris conjunct Wounded Healer Chiron). Recruited at a young age to serve the patriarchy, Rose rapidly rose to fame as one of Hollywood’s favorite nubile screen sirens. Much later, she would come to be known as the ‘Hollywood Whistleblower,’ pulling an Eris that further catalyzed the escalating #MeToo body count.

Taking the moniker ‘Citizen Rose’ for her 2018 documentary, the vivid docudrama recounts how Rose McGowan mobilized numerous other survivors of sexual assault in a public takedown of Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein. All in the span of 10 days, Citizen Rose was arrested, invited to meet with former President Barack Obama and announced one of Time Magazine’s `People of the Year’ (all while navigating a blockade of folks trying to silence her). If you were to have natal Eris conjunct wounded healer asteroid Chiron, like Rose, you experience a potent synergy between disruption and healing. For Chiron, pain is the medicine. For Eris, the trigger is a call to arms.  With the conjunction, one is invited to reflect on what aspects of life unleash the fighter within, what special powers one developed in the darkest of days. When it comes to Eris, we are reminded that the feminine agent of healing does not rise; it descends into the depths of misery to be reborn anew. Eris being a symbol of chaos in action, this aspect erupts initially as harrowing wounds and emotional disregulation – stirring up long-buried traumas and churning vehemently until one finds the courage to heal. Eris shouts our pain from the rooftops. Chiron pinpoints the fracture points, then illuminates the necessary tools of healing.

If you were to have cultural disruptor Eris conjunct cosmic taskmaster Saturn, this aspect signifies the meeting of structure/chaos and a vision of the disavowed feminine redeemed. In the volatile realms where structure and discord collide, one is learning to balance embracing maturity and self-responsibility with the need for change and equity. Questioning all the rigid structures and power dynamics (Saturn) inhibiting collective human freedom, this Eris highlights power struggles with authority figures and boundary work, inspiring a reassessment of personal limits and a redefinition of one’s relationship with power. If you’ve been following Pam Anderson’s career resurgence, from her critically acclaimed role in “The Last Showgirl” film to the release of her Netflix documentary, “Pamela, A Love Story,” you know that her natal Eris conjunct Saturn is rewriting her legacy at age 58.

As America’s favorite sex symbol turned PETA activist, just shy of her second Saturn return, Anderson speaks out on the complexities of fame, redefining her media image in a feral course-correction to all the hype. In an industry which regularly subjects aging women to scrutiny, ridicule and erasure – Pam erupts with righteous excess and unparalleled plenitude. Whether blowing the whistle on environmental devastation, defying cultural expectations or provoking a wolf in sheep’s clothing, the Eris conjunct Saturn native is gifted with an opportunity to transmute shame and trauma into power, sharp instincts and unshakable serenity.

While in many ways their career trajectories situate them light years apart, bell hooks’ Eris placement veritably puts her in the media big leagues alongside the new Pam. When it comes to Eris opposite Mercury, aka ‘Intellectual Battery,’ renegade head-heart coherence rings the bell! If you don’t know her as the scholar who called Beyonce a terrorist, you likely know bell hooks’ legacy of radical, intersectional feminism and revolutionary contributions to critical theory, cultural criticism and activism. Renowned for her groundbreaking work exploring the intersections of race, gender and class – particularly within the context of feminism and social justice – bell hooks’ living legacy very much embodies the energy of Eris opposite Mercury, that is, the cosmic dance between the trickster of pure intelligence and cultural disruptor.

With this aspect, there is a dynamic, generative tension between one’s rational mind and intuitive wisdom. Blessed with a rare fusion of intellectual curiosity and emotional insight, this native is characterized by strong opinions, passionate arguments and a tendency to challenge established beliefs.  One’s principles of communication and intellect (Mercury) clash with the rebellious, disruptive and confrontational nature of Eris. For many, this might look like feeling misunderstood or a struggle to find the right words. Developing patience with oneself and others is key, along with alternative forms of expression like writing or creative outlets to bridge the gap between your inner/outer worlds and rational/intuitive understanding. Neither defining destiny nor limiting potential, the Eris-Mercury opposition is an invitation to cultivate a distinct, genuine way of comprehending and engaging with the world, rooted in an understanding that the most transformative answers lie within!

If you were to have Eris in opposition to your solar identity (natal Sun), which impacts all Libras to a greater or lesser degree, there is a need to continually refine one’s self-definition and integrate the needs of the ego and the inner rebel. Disruption Calling, bemoans the Eris-Sun opposition, signifying a dynamic interplay between self-expression and the unresolved leanings of the feminine soul. While the Sun in Libra feels safe in its complacency to conformity and tradition, Eris in Aries prioritizes change and individuality. As rap’s self-proclaimed ‘pretty motherfucker,’ A$AP Rocky has long personified the contemporary black dandy – performing ghetto gorgeous in apocalyptic streetwear on the runway, wooing his lady billionaire, making fatherhood look chic.

While it never saved him from institutionalized racism or police brutality (that 2022 LAX arrest), Rocky has set a new precedent in his industry, rocking dandy looks, now with baby in arms. What theorist Monica L. Miller terms an “embodied, animated sign system that deconstructs given and normative categories of identity (elite, white, masculine, heterosexual, patriotic)” – A$ap’s signature dandy aesthetic furthermore destabilizes the heteronormative, toxic masculinity many have come to associate with commercial rap. Likewise, with the Eris-Sun opposition, one activates significant personal growth by integrating the Libra/Aries, Lover/Warrior polarity toward a more authentic and self-sovereign identity. Finding a balance between self-assertion and relational harmony, this Eris is an expert at questioning authority and going against the cultural grain.

Once you come to fully trust your instincts without seeking validation from others, the path ahead becomes abundantly clear. In fact, popular opinions about lunar-energy (Cancer and 4th house placements beware) as ‘passive-aggressive’ and ‘crazy’ only seem to highlight our current culture’s misunderstanding of lunar power. With Eris here, it is time to lay down your sword and step into your feminine grace. Introducing Moon Milk Snail Mucin Glow Cream. Making your features as luminous as La Luna herself, snail slime just made the news! That’s right – the Beauty News.

Eris in the 6th *Uninvited Alchemist*

Celebrity Doppelgänger: Yoko Ono

With Eris in the 6th house of work, health and routine, personal currents of discord and strife tend to constellate around efficiency, service and health. With a stimulating and provocative outlook towards work, one is productive and thorough with a fierce drive to get the job done! Working for the greater good feeds you, as being of service is of utmost importance. Challenging others who are in it purely for selfish gain, one carries a strong sense of integrity with a focus on productivity and altruism. Transforming any limitations within your work environment, a spotlight on daily routines and wellness helps optimize output. Stepping into a position of authority is likely here, as a naturally ingrained work ethic makes you an asset to any team. Just don’t let extreme perfectionism sabotage your ability to take action. Feeling like you weren’t given a fair shot in the workforce? This aspect may indicate conflicts related to authority or co-worker dynamics. Maybe Eris shows up in your resistance to becoming subordinate to a boss. Maybe you feel oppressed by the daily grind, wishing to find a more flexible hustle. If it’s more autonomy that you crave, consider self-employment. Even if it’s in the name of justice and truth, acting discordantly tends to take a toll on your health. Don’t confuse getting to the bottom of health concerns with hypochondria. Perhaps one must openly challenge a corrupt medical system, as nurturing the wholeness of self and others is highly important to you. Calling on others (not to mention systems and institutions) to increase their integrity, value and efficiency – you carry a unique understanding of how this can be achieved. Approach tensions within your environment sensitively, letting Eris shake things up to create healthy change.

Eris in the 7th *Owning Inner Chaos*

Celebrity Doppelgänger: Zoe Kravitz

Eris in the 7th raises her sword within one-on-one relationships and partnerships. Consider that conflicts and power struggles offer an opportunity to grow and assert oneself. Establishing a strong emotional core is the key to healthy sharing in relationship. Wondering why you can’t find that special someone and make it last? Why all your relationships seem to go up in flames? Is it unresolved mommy or daddy issues causing strife? Consider that it is the chaos within you that attracts discordant people. Reflect on how you relate –  defense mechanisms, projections, manipulations and communication patterns. Healing from painful childhood experiences is essential for cultivating healthy adult bonds. Embodying your truth, even as it challenges societal norms, helps you to transform limitations in romance, including imbalances of power and ongoing drama. Exploring what it truly means to share power, finances, support and love – shadow work helps you address co-dependency or lack of boundaries. Make it a point to cultivate inner peace without disavowing your own inner wild, and you will draw in the right folks. You’ll know them for how they only provoke you in righteous ways. Relationships need not be conventional, just mutual.

Rx: 3-Step Age-Defying Skincare System

With your Eris in the sign of the other, comparison rears its ugly head. Moving from ‘Mirror, Mirror on the Wall’ to justice and balance for all, check out the latest in Age-Defying Skincare. A pH-balanced trio powered by may chang fruit, ginseng root and CoQ10  – this step-by-step system by The Spa Dr. visibly lifts, smooths, and firms skin.

Eris in the 8th *Suicide Bomber*

Celebrity Doppelgänger: Lauryn Hill

Deep in your soul lies a source of unrest that is seeking resolution. The Black-winged Goddess of Discord & Strife in the house of intimacy and transformation suggests that one tirelessly probes to the depths, uncovering hidden truths others refuse to face via intimacy and connection. This is a breakdown before the breakthrough placement! Conflicts related to shared assets or crisis consciousness are a common side effect. People with Eris in the 8th house of sex, death and taxes are here to transform their relationship with intimacy, sexuality, shared resources and themes of death/transmutation. The more you embrace inner discord, the less you have to rely on conflict with others as your mirror of ferocious truth.  Seeking intensity and commanding honesty, sex life is off the chain! Kinky experimentation becomes an outlet for chaotic emotions you don’t normally get to release. Alternatively, maybe you feel chronically dissatisfied with physical intimacy, and if so, cultivate the hard-won self-awareness to follow your bliss. Driven by the desire to release all inhibitions, interrogate the shadow aspect of sexuality as a means of deeper self-understanding. Unpacking the complexity of self via intimacy, one must continually die to one’s old ways, rising up like a phoenix from the ashes. Plunging into the subconscious realms affords much healing and transformation. Close brushes with death – literally or metaphorically speaking – allow you to understand the cyclical wheel of existence, the great beyond. If you try to fight the transformation, the body responds with illness until a resolution is found. One is learning compassion and how to guide others to be more accountable for their own shadows. In the house of inheritances and shared resources, make sure to take a stand against any form of financial dishonesty. Black mail, extortion and plundering be damned – in the house of ‘other people’s money’ – Eris is the scalpel separating wheat from the chaff. Mutuality, reciprocity and shared power are the order of the day.

Rx: Ceres Food Film Festival

In the Scorpion’s sign of soul, nothing spells feminine redemption like Ceres (asteroid Goddess of sharing, attachment-style & the pathology of loss). A dynamic figure of myth, Ceres is immortalized in the story involving the kidnapping of her daughter Persephone by Scorpio’s ruler Pluto, Lord of the Underworld. Called the ‘Motherload’ of the cosmos, Ceres’s name derives from the Latin root ‘cer,’ which means ‘to grow.’ Embodying the secrets of birth, death and renewal, Cere is also the namesake of a visionary film festival building a global community of visual storytellers. An annual film festival driving awareness and engagement around food sustainability in partnership with NYU Steinhardt; festival events connect filmmakers, activists, chefs and caring citizens from around the world. Ceres Food Film Festival showcases feature documentaries, experimental work, animation and episodic pilots that explore all facets of our food system: access, equity, climate, culture, pleasure, gastronomy and beyond. Think bold food stories which raise awareness, inspire action and celebrate the culture, joy and complexity of food. Recent standouts include Farming While Black, directed by Mark Decena, a film about Black farmers reclaiming their rightful place on the land.

Eris in the 10th *Insubordinate Femme*

Celebrity Doppelgänger: Keke Palmer

With Eris in the 10th house influencing career and public image, this native challenges authority in the professional sphere, instigating conflicts and power struggles. Rejecting a survival-of-the-fittest mentality, continue to embody that part of yourself that stands against the cultural norm, living your truth despite societal expectations. Is a discordant spirit making it difficult to excel in the workplace? Does it feel as though you must fight to achieve your goals? With the Goddess of Discord in the 9th, insubordination is weaponized! As you know what it feels like to be left out, you’d do well in a position helping others who have been excluded – think special education, infertility, adoption agencies or counseling. In other words, look after those who are less privileged than you. Understanding power through its absence, one eventually becomes a steward to the needs of marginalized individuals. Crystallizing your unique personal authority, despite great adversity, your presence offers many others hope. Establishing strong personal boundaries and developing healthy communication skills is key. Avoid falling into the traps of martyrdom or arrogance. Embracing that there will always be a part of you that is at odds with the cultural norm, reflect on how you can navigate challenges in a way that fosters diversity and tolerance. As you sashay through the dance of power and authority, your unique voice and vision become increasingly clear.

Eris in the 11th *Calling Out or Calling In?*

Celebrity Doppelgänger: Willow Smith

Eris in the 11th house of friendships, groups, communities, hopes and dreams involves learning to understand the importance of cooperative roles within the collective. The ultimate ‘black sheep,’ one entered this world not quite fitting in. No matter how many friends you have, you still tend to feel uninvited. The more you make it a point to seek non-judgmental, open and understanding people – the more you grow closer to folks who matter in the long run. By asserting your individuality within the right social circles, conflicts and disruptions lead to a deeper understanding. Recognize that great power stems from the cultivation of networks, the sharing of resources and healthy interdependence. In the 11th house, Eris becomes an advocate for creative solutions that transform group dynamics. Rise up in the name of revolutionary change, ensuring that no one’s privilege rests upon another’s alienation. Beneath it all is an invitation to heal from past betrayals, from times you felt ostracized or tokenized. Experiences of rejection have opened your heart to compassionate understanding. Having played the ‘odd one out,’ you are learning how to call others in! While social confrontations initially heighten trust issues and feelings of vulnerability, the more you battle to uphold principles of equity and equality for all, the more inclusive and tolerant (the less shaming and exclusionary) your social milieus become. By honoring everyone’s uniqueness and individuality, you can surely harness the people power necessary to manifest exquisite dreams into reality.

Rx: Cycle-Synced Skincare

While all of the 11th house’s revolutionary emphasis on friendship, collaboration and equality hits a high note – there’s a less seemly side to the 11th, a shadow world of embittered disembodiment, of pain and disassociation. With Eris in the 11th, one can come to feel so alone, so disenchanted, so put out in the cold – that one rejects the body altogether. One may put one’s faith in technology, disavowing the natural intelligence found in our heart, gut and loins. While overthinking is a general air sign tendency, in the fixed realm of Aquarius and the 11th house, a top-down approach can prove physically debilitating. Which is why your Eris Rx is the skincare brand on a mission to empower women to embrace their cycles — emotionally, physically and spiritually. Introducing the soulful skincare brand Muhza, named ‘Muyu’ for ‘cycle’ or ‘seed’ in Quechua, symbolizing the connection to life’s natural rhythms.

Founded by Alexia Couttsa Peruvian-American who has faced hormonal acne and PCOS, it is these very struggles that ultimately inspired the creation of her cycle-synced skincare approach. Rooted in the ancient rituals, remedies and botanicals of Peru, it’s a brand redefining the industry to support skin through each hormonal phase of the menstrual cycle. Each formula features plant-based ingredients that derive from Peruvian traditions, including natural plant-based peptides, probiotics and prebiotics, along with traditional skincare ingredients like glycerin and hyaluronic acid.

Made in small batches and infused with ritual, Muhza is the breath of fresh air transforming your morning ritual into a grounding, restorative act. Think clean, vegan, hormone-friendly products made with utmost care. With Eris in the 11th, it’s time to reconnect with your body at its innermost cyclical core.

Eris in the 12th *Psychic War or Quantum Love?*

Celebrity Doppelgänger: Gigi Hadid

With Eris in the 12th influencing subconscious realms and spiritual pursuits, one takes a fearless approach to uncovering the buried treasures of the psyche. Are your spiritual beliefs causing conflicts in your relationships, or is it merely an internal struggle? Nirvana beckons, but are you grounded enough to surf the celestial spheres? Courting the higher self is essential medicine, and yet, when imbalanced, the Goddess of Discord in the house of seclusion plays a discordant note via isolation, rejection, absence of belonging, anxieties and boundary issues. Craving solitude in order to know the most authentic and spiritually gifted self, it’s natural for this placement to feel a bit estranged from planet Earth. Maybe you feel like you are ‘too much’ for the muggles. When it comes to battling your innermost psyche, Eris has triggered war! At times, you may even sabotage relationships or miss opportunities because you’ve failed to do the inner work. The more you can safely tap into your ancestral gifts and psychic powers, activating your relationship to 5D, the more you can be of service in this world. In a nutshell, life will take you off the beaten track in order to cultivate healing capacities. Having known universal karmic suffering, you have the potential to develop indwelling compassion. Make sure to ‘decondition’ from unhealthy familial patterns. Once you navigate to higher pastures – honesty, wisdom and prophetic abilities are the natural result.

Rx: Sea Deep Cream Gel

Journeying through other dimensions with relative ease, this most chaotic of Eris placements signals a spirit that endlessly searches for more. Reviving the skin barrier to improve skin tone and texture, the gel locks in moisture to generate new skin cells, visibly improving signs of aging. Blended with rich skin-loving ingredients like AHAs and hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate, firm and smooth the skin, the added benefits of green tea extract fight free radical damage and soothe inflammation, protecting the skin from environmental stressors. Did we mention third-eye opening amethyst extract, as if your mystic heart wasn’t already spinning grace upon grace?  If you’re an old soul looking for that youthful glow, check out cMOSS Beauty, the clean beauty brand delivering hydration that runs deep, ingredients that matter and glow that lasts. The best part?
