The body of popular beauty influencer Hailey Rose, of the WakeUp2MakeUP VidView channel was discovered near the town’s creek and the case remains unsolved. Jack Pierce, the detective who had been assigned the case has handed over collected evidence to Hailey’s mother hoping she or someone else can identify the killer and close the case.
Mystery, detective, and cold case fans (ages 14+) will have a lot of fun spending a few hours to several days sifting through over 50 pieces of evidence while trying to solve Cold Case VR: The Case of the Fatal Follower.
Players investigate the case after they’ve downloaded the Cold Case VR app (available at the Apple app store and Google Play) and entered the activation code contained in the introductory letter.
Witness statements, photographs, bank statements, and interview transcripts in this challenging game are interesting to read and there is CCTV video footage filmed at various Cedar Creek locations available for viewing.

Receipts, coupons, and other items are all contained in a sealed evidence bag. Also included, is a map of Cedar Creek, California, a page from the Cedar Creek Chronicle containing an article about the discovery of Rose’s body, and a VR headset for viewing the CCTV footage.
The time frame needed to solve this case varies according to how many people are playing and how experienced the players are at solving similar mystery or detective games. Frustrated players can find helpful hints in the hints section of the app and technical assistance is available if players face technical difficulty.
