I’m currently planning a month-long trip to Asia and need some new travel gear. But because I’m just a girl, everything needs to be both cute and functional. Here are the items that made the cut.
Breaklight Sunglasses from Fork Eyewear ($110)
Protect your eyes and look effortlessly cool at the same time. Fork sunglasses offer UV400 protection, the highest level available. The oval silhouette and tinted lenses elevate any outfit, and they’re super light, making them the perfect pair of travel sunnies. Mine are gold, but you can also get them in silver or black. They’re the chicest pair I own, and I don’t think they’ll be my last from this brand.
Flexible Claw Clip from Cozy Clip ($14)
I prefer claw clips to hair ties, but they dig into the back of my head when I try to lean against a wall or headrest. Cozy Clip fixes this problem with a soft, flexible material that’s virtually unbreakable. There is a bit of a learning curve, since it feels different from a typical clip, but my hair felt secure once I figured it out. It’s perfect for cars, trains, and planes, or even lounging on the beach or napping.
Origin Shorts from While On Earth ($52)
I’m not a runner, but a good pair of athletic shorts is a must in my closet. I love that While On Earth ensures that their products are OEKO-TEX certified, so free from harmful substances and manufactured in ethical conditions. The shorts feel comfortable and aren’t too snug, which is my biggest gripe as someone with larger thighs.
Everyday Cloud Bag from Baggu ($68)
I’ve loved Baggu for years and finally decided to add this bag to my collection. It fits so much, including my 13-inch laptop, and there’s a removable pouch that snaps into the interior. The straps are long enough that it feels comfortable to wear, and it makes a great airport personal item. There are so many cute styles to choose from; I personally have the Blurred Gingham Brown colorway, but I was also tempted by the solid colors.
Cold Air Ultra Fan from Aecooly ($80)
This thing is strong. The first time I used it, I was impressed with its power, only to realize I was only on level 20 of 100. The mister component plus the high-velocity wind feels like a handheld air conditioner. The cons are that it’s a bit heavy, and it’s quite loud. The pro is that it’ll help you survive sticky, hot weather, no matter where you are in the world.
Sleep Patches from The Good Patch ($12)
Adjusting to jet lag is the worst. Melatonin gummies or pills take up too much space in a suitcase, so I was curious about these wearable patches. They contain melatonin, valerian root, and hops to support restful sleep, and using them is as easy as putting on a bandaid. They are also super slim and weigh virtually nothing.
Ribbed Bra Top from Embrace ($70)
If you’ve ever had the dilemma of bra straps peeking out under a spaghetti-strap top, Embrace is to the rescue. This cami has a built-in bra, and the fabric is buttery smooth. It’s super versatile—comfortable enough to both sleep in and wear to the club the next night. I love the way the fabric feels on my skin, and the fit is super flattering.
