I don’t always need or want to lug around a heavy “serious” camera and numerous camera lenses. Therefore, I’ve experimented with a few digital point-and-shoot cameras and lightweight Lola is the easiest to set up. The Lola Essentials Bundle is the best intro to Lola because it includes everything one needs to get started: a battery, wrist strap, a 32 GB SD card, an SD adapter, a charging cord, and a cute camera case. Lola’s SD card adapter makes transferring photographs to my iPad a breeze.
Lola’s camera case is cute. However, I prefer to tote Lola in a sturdier camera case with a lengthy strap I can wear around my neck. So I use Lola’s camera case to store the charging cord and SD card holder.
Fun-sized With Plenty of Options
Initially, I didn’t fuss with the settings. However, there are many creative options to choose from, including an Effect Mode for shooting in different styles such as Gothic or Japan Style and 9 different scene modes.
Lola also features a Beauty Face option for capturing portrait-style, face-filtering photographs. One can even shoot HD 720P – 4K 2160P.

The Hummingbird Capture Challenge
Hummingbirds are tiny, fast flyers. Typically, I would capture a hummingbird photo using a telephoto zoom lens on my DSLR camera. Below, is my Lola capture, followed by a DSLR camera capture.
Lola’s Hummingbird Capture
The Lola Hummingbird photo was captured through glass patio doors located approximately six feet away from the hummingbird feeder using Lola’s Normal Mode. To improve future Lola Hummingbird captures, aside from getting closer to the subject, I’d use an appropriate preset, tweak the exposure, and choose the maximum megapixels in the image size setting.

Final Thoughts
Lola is ideal for capturing the fleeting moments escaping capture while one fiddles with camera controls and special lenses. Fitting comfortably in my hand, Lola’s compact size makes it easy for me to take spontaneous candid photographs for use in an Instagram photo dump.
I bring Lola everywhere. You just never know when a Lola moment might pop up.
