Deep Tropics, Nashville’s premier boutique house and bass music festival, is slated to return for its fifth year on August 18-19, bringing high energy, great vibes, and creative minds all together. Recognized as the most sustainable festival in the US, Deep Tropics is an art initiative that combines the love of EDM and community together under a sustainably designed experience.
Deep Tropics is produced by the creative music-loving core of Full Circle Presents, a Nashville based production and promotion company. Since 2010, Full Circle Presents has created and managed experiences in the entertainment industry, working with artists such as Doja Cat, DJ Shadow, Pretty Lights, The Glitch Mob and more.

Attending the Experience of Deep Tropics
Event goers can expect a hefty schedule of parties, events, workshops and intimate gatherings both day and night.
The Deep Tropics stage setup will be in a “one-of-a-kind” amphitheater located in the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville’s Germantown, blending the festival experience into the heart of the city.
Within the festival grounds, attendees can experience art installation pieces as well as the music on three designated stages expanding on the “tropics” theme: the ancient temple themed “Meru”, the “Lotus” and the “Congo Soundsystem”.

The Sustainable Core Concept of Deep Tropics
The Deep Tropics festival has a mission to be, and remain, the greenest festival in the United States. The festival is climate positive, meaning the event will create more energy than it uses. It is also a zero waste initiative, meaning all items are either recyclable, compostable, or re-usable. Deep Tropics also has an overall focus on regenerative art, which is art that has a focus on integrating communities and the environment in a healthy and beneficial way. Many of the art installation experiences that event goers can experience are made from sustainable materials.

Deep Tropics’ sustainable efforts is possible through the organization Deep Culture, Inc, a non-profit dedicated to curating experiences and events that, according to the official Deep Tropics website, “activate transformation of self, community, and planet”.
Through their efforts, Deep Tropics has remained climate positive for its third year in a row. Post-festival waste has successfully avoided the landfills with an amazing 93% of it being diverted last year in 2022. Deep Culture also promotes a climate positive experience by offsetting carbon footprints, including that of the travel of attendees, through planting trees.

Deep Tropics working with another of Nashville’s Green Partner’s – Virgin Hotels Nashville
Recently, Deep Tropics partnered with Virgin Hotels Nashville, one of the greenest hotels in the city, solidifying a standard of accountable sustainability for events, organizations and communities. The hotel holds a LEED Silver certification and has a commitment of being net zero by 2030. This timeline encourages the establishment to set policies that reduce the use of resources and analyze their usage for efficiency.

The hotel will house the artists, crew, and attendees for the festival as well as host pop-up parties during the weekend. Attendees can expect a Welcoming Party the first day of the festival weekend on Friday, August 18, from 12-3 PM in the exclusive hotel speakeasy, The Late Great. Patrons can party together with a DJ set and gather their credentials for the festival at the same time, for possibly the best entry process a festival goer can experience.
The hotel will also host “Waveclub” parties on its rooftop prior to the festival, continuing with its green initiatives with a zero-waste focus, recyclable materials, and even composting. This is a way to encourage organizations and communities to enjoy entertainment and remain sustainable at the same time.
