The Women’s Health Summit is an insightful, engaging 2-day event that explores the real science of aging well, the truth behind trendy treatments, and the riveting stories of the women navigating it all. Held at the Midtown Hilton in New York City this September 25th and 26th, you can register for it here. You won’t want to miss this, as it covers a diverse and array of topics pertinent to women’s health. (side note: Jane Fonda will be speaking). Katie Gaudu, one of the summit’s brilliant co-founders, provides more insight about her inspiration for the summit in this Q&A:

1. The wellness space is more crowded than ever. What inspired Livelong Media to create a Women’s Health Summit that prioritizes evidence-based education over trends?
Women deserve better than having to sort through endless wellness claims on social media to figure out what’s actually worth their time and money. We created the Livelong Women’s Health Summit because there is a real need for a trusted space where science leads the conversation. Every session is designed to help attendees understand what the evidence actually says, where the research is headed, and where there are still unanswered questions. Our goal isn’t to tell people what to believe, it’s to give them the information they need to make confident decisions about their own health.
2. Livelong has built a reputation for editorial independence. Why was it important to create a platform that doesn’t sell supplements or promote a single treatment philosophy?
Editorial independence is at the heart of everything we do. We don’t sell supplements, we don’t endorse one approach over another, and we don’t receive commissions from the experts who speak at our events. That allows us to ask harder questions and present a more balanced view of the science. In a world where so much health information is tied to a product or sales funnel, we believe trust comes from putting education first.

3. Many women feel overwhelmed by conflicting health advice online. What do you hope attendees will walk away knowing after two days at the summit?
I hope women leave feeling empowered instead of overwhelmed. We want attendees to understand which interventions have strong scientific support, which ones are still emerging, and how to ask better questions about their own health. More than anything, I hope they leave with practical strategies they can actually use and the confidence to advocate for themselves in conversations with their healthcare providers.
4. The conversation around longevity has historically focused on men. How is the Livelong Women’s Health Summit helping reshape that narrative and address women’s unique health needs across every stage of life?
For far too long, women’s health has been understudied and often treated as an afterthought. We’re intentionally bringing together experts who understand that women’s biology changes throughout life and that longevity isn’t just about living longer, it’s about maintaining strength, cognitive health, mobility, and quality of life. The summit explores topics from hormones and menopause to heart health, brain health, nutrition, exercise, sleep, and preventive care through a lens that’s centered on women.

5. One of the summit’s featured sessions focuses on separating evidence from hype in longevity medicine. Why is scientific transparency so important right now, especially as longevity becomes more mainstream?
Longevity has become one of the fastest-growing areas in health, which is exciting, but it also creates opportunities for misinformation. It’s easy for headlines or influencers to make something sound revolutionary before the evidence is there. We believe it’s important to be transparent about what we know, what we don’t know, and where the research is still evolving. That honesty helps people make smarter, more informed decisions instead of chasing the latest trend.
6. What are some of the biggest misconceptions you hear from women about aging, hormones, or longevity and what does the latest science actually tell us?
One misconception is that aging is simply something that happens to us and there’s very little we can do about it. While none of us can stop aging, the research consistently shows that lifestyle factors like exercise, sleep, nutrition, stress management, and social connection have an enormous impact on how well we age. Another misconception is that there is one “magic” supplement or treatment. The science continues to show that lasting health is built on consistent habits, and personalized care matters far more than quick fixes.
7. The speaker lineup includes physicians, researchers, and leading experts from across multiple disciplines. What was your vision in curating the agenda, and what conversations are you most excited for attendees to experience?
We wanted to create conversations that reflect how health actually works, it’s interconnected. Women’s health isn’t just hormones or nutrition or fitness; it’s all of those things working together. That’s why we’ve brought together clinicians, researchers, and specialists from multiple fields. I’m especially excited for the discussions where experts respectfully challenge one another, explore where the evidence agrees, and acknowledge where it doesn’t. Those are often the most valuable conversations because they’re honest and grounded in science.

8. If someone is considering attending the Livelong Women’s Health Summit, what makes this event different from other wellness conferences, and why do you believe it’s a worthwhile investment in their long-term health?
This isn’t a conference built around celebrity influencers or product promotions. It’s designed to help women become better informed about their health through conversations with some of the leading experts in longevity medicine. Whether you’re in your 30s, 50s, or beyond, the information you’ll hear can help you make more informed decisions for years to come. We believe knowledge is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your long-term health, and our goal is for every attendee to leave feeling educated, inspired, and empowered.
