Welcome the New Year with these wellness practices. Here are my tips to make 2025 a year full of healthy habits and joyous moments.
Prioritize Enjoyable Exercise with Manduka
Combating sluggish days and seasonal depression can be a struggle, especially in the winter season. I’ve turned to prioritizing physical exercises to get my blood flowing, dopamine levels up, and keeping off the winter pounds. Yoga is my seasonal solution and to look, feel, and be my best I’ve invested in aesthetic gear from Manduka: the premium brand in the yogi world.
Manduka’s thoughtfully crafted Shaka Yoga Rug is my prize mat for midday yoga sessions, late-night stretches, and even makes a makeshift rug for meditation at the park. Handcrafted in India by local artists, this rug is green by repurposing pre-consumer cotton scraps which gives them a second life as a beautiful mat. I adore the design and ease of being able to travel with the mat abroad in my suitcase or to my local yoga studio.
While on the mat I wear the sleek Dhara leggings and bra set. On first wear, I noticed how soft the fabric felt against my skin. I tend to struggle with itching in yoga gear but snug yet soft fit was perfect while I did cat-cow. The leggings are perfectly high waisted while the bra holds my chest comfortably for the whole practice. I reach for this set everytime I step on the mat, and even when I’m just lounging around the house. The Dhara set is a certified must for my 2025 yoga practice.
Swap to Herbal Baths with Inoki Bathhouse
Brightly colored baths with candy like smells can be fun and bring out the inner childhood vibe. This season of life, though, I will be focusing on baths that offer holistic benefits that are soothing to my skin and spirit. Inoki Bathhouse is a female owned brand that curates 100% natural and handcrafted bath teas to engage the senses. I’ve been soaking in the Ancient Forest Bath Blend; which contains natural ingredients like oats, hojicha tea, and jasmine flowers. I scoop a bit of the blend into a reusable bag, steep the tea in hot water for five minutes, and pour the brew into my bath. Before I step into the bath, I scan the QR code on the box and relax to the breathwork playlist. Each blend contains up to four bath uses which is lovely for a weekly soak on Saturday nights with Inoki Bathhouse teas.
Integrate Uplifting Scents with Keap

I’ve been on the look out for clean candles and came across a Brooklyn brand that focuses on vegan formulas, nature-inspired scents, and minimalistic designs. Introducing Keap’s Timur Moon candle, a limited edition fragrance that invokes moonlight nights and peppery aromas. The cozy scent profile contains pine oil, gurjum balsam oil, and timur pepper extract with a coconut wax blend that burns for 45 hours. Keap sports a biodegradable formula and plastic-free packaging with their sleek black box, a small container of matches, and a dust cover that doubles as a coaster for my white wine. I light the Timur Moon candle in my foyer every evening while watching movies or entertaining my cat (which is great since the blend is animal friendly). The coolest part is the glass container of the candle can be reused as a glass tumbler once it’s finished burning. Luckily, Keap has a subscription program which offers new scents every month, which means I can order another all throughout 2025 and keep my home smelling beautiful. A perfect touch to enhance my wellness in the new year.

Revamp Living Space with Friendsheep
Switching to eco-friendly methods is a factor of my wellness routine going into the New Year. One of my new favorite brands is Friendsheep, a woman owned business that crafts wool home goods that last a long time.
They offer non-toxic, cruelty, plastic and carbon free products like Galaxy Dryer balls I keep in my laundry room. These handmade from 100% New Zealand wool are 70’s cute with a tie-dye look that doesn’t bleed onto my white T-shirts. I throw them in with every load and the balls simply tumble around, leaving my laundry dry and static free. I add a few drops of the Twilight Garden essential oil a sweet blend of neroli, jasmine, and bergamot to the dryer balls. All my bedsheets and clothing have this calming scent which puts me in a good mood every time I open my drawers or climb into bed.
I love decor but want functionality too, which makes the Eco Coasters in the macarons style great for my dining table. They are made with the same New Zealand wool which absorbs any drips from mugs, cups, or soups bowls. Plus they never break and are a cute toy for my cat.
I love the mission and social good behind Friendsheep. is a brand that hires Nepalese women artist which allows them to provide for their families thanks to the fair wages they earn from the company.
Invest in Health with Atlantic Naturals
I can’t always get the vitamins I need from food, especially during the winter months when cakes and cookies are abundant. I’ve incorporated the power of sea moss with Atlantic Naturals’s Organic Sea Moss Capsules into my daily routine. This USA made supplement uses wild harvested sea moss. Sea moss is a superpower supplement that contains key vitamins like Riboflavin, Vitamin B-6, Folate, and Vitamin A. I noticed my energy levels and mood stabilize, reduction in bloating, and being able to fall and stay asleep longer at nighttime.
Elderberries are little wonder berries that have taken over the wellness scene. They are rich in fiber and Vitamin C which is helpful during the cold and flu season. Atlantic Naturals’s Organic Elderberry Immune Complex has been on my wellness rotation this winter. It contains other super foods like garlic, ginger, and oregano to strengthen the immunity effects. I take one pill with breakfast for the past couple of months and haven’t gotten cold or a sniffle even in 25 degree weather. Atlantic Naturals enhances my wellness journey in January.
