“Essentrics is a functional fitness class designed to address the needs of your full body: to build global strength and mobility while being respectful to its natural limitations”

The phrase “been there, done that” accurately describes my high-intensity, strength-focused, and everything in between—prior exercise routines. Essentrics hits different. Co-founded by Miranda Esmonde-White, a former professional ballet dancer, Essentrics is a balanced whole body exercise program offering a varied menu of routines. The intersection of strength and stretching is present throughout Miranda’s low-impact workouts, including this highly-recommend Get Started 14-Day trial.
Due to of the range of offerings, I was overwhelmed when I initially visited the website as a newbie Essentrics user. For example, there are specific programs for conditioning for sports, for toning and strengthening, pain relief, posture, and weight loss as well as prenatal workouts and so much more. There are also programs targeting specific body areas such as the neck, back and spine, and core, in addition to the whole body.
To make selection easier, I filter workout offerings by level, length, pace, components, and objectives. When I find routines I like, I add them to my account’s list. The variety of options is motivating and keeps me from getting bored and burnt out. Thankfully, I no longer feel the need to exercise at an intense, punishing level.
