Culinary Adventures with Flavors of Okinawa

While there is no travel in my future (though a girl can hope), my taste buds can travel with Flavors of Okinawa from Sakuraco.

The mix of savory snacks includes items such as Shio Lemon Senbei, a citrus-flavored crisp with a sprinkle of salt. The Fruit Warabimochi is a lemon-and-grape-infused bean paste in a squishy coating. I really enjoyed spending time this month eating mochi with my friends as we gossiped about their roommate nightmares.

They loved the texture of the mochi and the option to chill the mochi for a cooling treat to beat the heat.

My boyfriend loves pineapple, so these jelly cups were heaven to him. “It tastes just like a tropical paradise and I don’t wanna share,” he reported. Alas… he did eat most of them.

The tea theme for this month includes Sanpin Tea, a jasmine tea, and an Okinawa Kozara Plate with blue and golden accents that make a perfect dish for my teacup (or rose quartz roller). Sakuraco boxes are my novel treat each month to embrace Japanese culture and expand my mind (and tastebuds) across the global.
