Make a Statement with a Top From the OW Collection

Some people look at fashion through the lens of defining who they are.

Others look at fashion as something to reflect the selves they’ve already cemented.

Neither is wrong, nor less-than. They’re simply two different ways of assessing the pieces and shops that best suit your tastes and needs.

For those in the latter category, OW Collection is a label designed to cater to this exact mindset. Founded in 2016 by Copenhagen-based Creative Director Sonja Davidsen, it combines sleek minimalism with elevated, confidence-building style to create pieces perfect for the memories made after dark. From dinners to parties to events, the range of cuts and categories means there’s something for everything.

In the decade since its launch, the brand has made a name for itself with its intentional silhouettes, refined palates, and pieces that stand out based on their quality rather than their excess. It’s a strategy that has, in my personal opinion, absolutely succeeded. From sheer lace to elegant draping to well-cut professionalism to carefully combined fabrics, it’s hard to look away from OW clothes once you’ve seen them.

Choosing a favorite piece was, thankfully, a little easier for me. The company’s collection of flock-printed clothes immediately drew my eye with its organic shapes and sheer mesh backdrop. And the SILLA Asymmetric Top is one of the best among them.

Long enough to almost be classified as a mini-dress, and perfectly designed to offer the necessary coverage (though some care is needed to avoid any slips, and pasties may be beneficial), it works just as well layered over pants as it does under a skirt. Personally, I’ve been wearing it with a pair of long palazzo pants and heels, as well as with a pair of pinstripe pants and boots. Styled up or down, it works equally well.

(The pattern does look a bit odd when the piece compresses, either as you walk or when pulled up to shorten it, but it’s no less attractive or wearable.)

With a hand-drawn pattern and signature textured finish, it’s as stylish and attention-grabbing as it is unique. And with its primarily polyester makeup, it’s fully machine-washable in case of any spills or stains. Just make sure the detergent is mild and that it’s dried flat, not in a machine.

Like every other piece made by OW, the SILLA top is the product of a months-long process, with each piece sketched, sourced, and developed in-house. Designs are produced in small batches to avoid overproduction and excess waste, with demand informing the quantity produced during restocks. The company is equally as careful in its material purchasing and packaging, holding its partners to high international standards, sourcing by-product fur and cruelty-free vegan alternatives, and using recycled plastic and FSC-certified boxes to ship orders. They’re not perfect. But they are purposeful. And they’re always working to be better.

Fearless. Elegant. Quirky. Standout. However you define yourself, and whatever your fashion sense, OW gives you the tools you need to dress for you. They’re not clothes meant to turn you into someone new. They’re clothes for telling the world who you are, loudly and unapologetically.
