The Granola Bar: A Bryant Park, Grand Central Station & Midtown Gem

Whether it’s brunch, lunch, dinner, cocktails, or catering, The Granola Bar is a delectable midtown option. With early morning, all-day brunches/breakfast and a new dinner menu featuring something for everyone, this is an ideal before-and-after-work food or cocktails spot.

Since it opens at 7am, it’s also a perfect place to grab breakfast before work, have lunch meetings, or savor cocktails with co-workers. This women-owned eatery is also close to Grand Central Station and has multiple locations in and outside of New York City; The Granola Bar Takeaway is nearby too, at 22 East 43rd Street.

Owners Julie Mountain and Dana Noorily

Opting to try the Madison Avenue location of The Granola Bar for dinner with three others, I can happily attest to their fresh and superb pasta, Cowboy Steak Tacos (3 tacos per serving), the Pan Salmon entree, and Chicken Milanese. Portions are super-generous, so bring your appetite.

The waitstaff is downright lovely at The Granola Bar, and truly helpful, guiding us Granola Milk & Cookies for dessert which, surprisingly, was more than enough for us to share as a table. Other desserts included butterscotch pudding, and ice cream-based desserts such as the Jammy Bar A La Mode (granola bar with vanilla ice cream0 and Affogato (vanilla ice cream, espresso, cinnamon, honey granola, candied pecans).
