A Sunday Summer Soiree At Le Club Hamptons

Despite being a born ‘n raised New Yorker, I’m ashamed to say I have never traveled “out east” to the Hamptons. The distance, the drive? Something us city girls don’t schlep much often. There is of course the jitney, a 3-hour long bus ride for those of us who choose to never use our driver’s license outside of techno clubs and swanky bars. We can’t all afford a luxurious helicopter ride.

Which is why I opted to attend a very merry Hamptons happening at a private residence with the jitney all taken cared of for me. Le Club Hamptons was that classic, clean, posh Hamptons vibe. Though the weather left much to be desired -post-rain and cloudy as my mood when I have wake up before 7am (which I  unfortunately did have to do that day). Still, nothing could really put a damper at an “All-White” event by the poolside with such a scenic environment to get acquainted with many amazing beauty and wellness brands.

I have to say, there is nothing quite like trying on Haute Carat’s gorgeous Henry $38k diamond bracelet, perusing the latest lashes from Ardell, popping a delicious macron from Trophy Cupcakes, and lying on a $77,000 bed from Hästens all while sipping a lavender bubbly cocktail mixed with Saint Spritz. Did I feel rich? Oh yes indeed. I was sad to miss the NAD+ IV drips from Niagen Plus but the heavy tote of goodies as our “Thank you for coming” parting gift definitely softened the blow.

It was quite exhausting – walking around, sampling snacks, talking with the people at Sontse about their self-tanning products, experiencing the latest Hamptons inspired fragrance collaboration from Grey/Ven and Aroma 360. As I gazed across the grassy plain, watching people pose for pictures and clink glasses along the pool’s edge, I thought – what a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

But alas, I was wrong. Until that point it was almost perfect. For what finally sealed the deal as the truly, most luxurious Hamptons experience for me was a man walking up to my seat with a giant gastronorm usherette tray full of cannolis. “The Cannoli man has come to visit me!” emerged from my throat with childish glee and I ordered the most delicious, perfectly filled pistachio cannolo. Molto buono.

Until next time, Hamptons ~
