At The Sea Fire Grille everyone is treated like a VIP. Today, great service is rare and to find it, along with good food is even more of a commodity. I found both during my recent visit to this restaurant. As a New Yorker, I am always amazed when I can dine at a restaurant that I have never been to. There are so many choices in the city that finding a rare gem like The Sea Fire Grille is a treat.
The menu is varied, without being overwhelming. There are Raw Bar and Caviar selections, as well as Fresh Catches, Pasta, Steak and Chops. As an appetizer, I ordered the Bibb Lettuce Salad, with Boursin Cheese, Candied Pecans, Dried Cranberries, with a Balsamic Reduction dressing. It was presented as if it was a work of art, not an ordinary salad, and it tasted even better than it looked. It was obvious just from the appetizer, that The Sea Fire Grille pays great attention to detail with its food.
The entrees we selected were the Whole Lobster and the Bone in Ribeye steak. The lobster, which I had taken out of the shell, was tender and fresh, served with drawn butter, lemon, and a cocktail sauce. I chose the Grilled Jumbo Asparagus to accompany the lobster, and it was perfectly prepared, with a firm, but not crunchy texture. It is not easy to get asparagus to taste like this, so kudos to the chef for accomplishing this feat. The Ribeye steak was explosively savory without being overpowering. Along with the Herb Fries, this meal was a flavor festival.
To top it off, the service at this restaurant, is simply perfection. The waiters, the maitre’d, and even the manager, welcomes everyone in a genuine and warm manner. It is true that you feel like a VIP every minute you spend at this restaurant. Great customer service is a vanishing art in every industry, and restaurants are no exception. If you want to enjoy great food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, then make a reservation at The Sea Fire Grille. You will ask yourself, “Where have you been all my life?”
