There’s a skincare brand that’s revolutionizing treatment at the cellular level and treats things from the inside out. Created by a world-class team of Ph.D. scientists in the fields of stem cell research, chemistry, and dermatology from Harvard and MIT, Aramore takes a whole system approach to restore the skin’s youthful vitality by focusing on something called NAD+. Glamour magazine calls NAD+ is the most promising new anti-aging ingredient; and the scientists behind Aramore have found a way to bottle it up for smoother, firmer, younger-looking and feeling skin. We spoke with Aramore CEO Melisse Shaban to get behind the science of it all.
Tell us about Aramore. What sets it apart from other products out there?
Aramore is a longevity-based skincare brand that focuses on restoring cellular energy. Most skincare products offer temporary hydration or surface-level benefits. Aramore goes deeper by addressing the root cause of skin aging: the natural decline of NAD+, a coenzyme essential for repair and regeneration. Our patented NAD+ Precursor Complex is a breakthrough technology developed by Harvard researcher Anna Mandinova, and it works to replenish this energy at the cellular level. We also combine topical and ingestible formulas to support skin health from both inside and out. It’s a radically new way to address aging. Rather than focusing on symptoms, we focus on cellular health at the foundational level.
Why and how did you become involved in creating this revolutionary product?
After years in the beauty industry, I was looking for the next scientific advance in skincare. I was introduced to a team of scientists from Harvard and MIT who were working on NAD+ research. NAD+ was already becoming a buzzy ingredient in the wellness space, but these scientists had found a way to help stimulate NAD+ in a much more targeted way for skin. That was the spark. I partnered with them to build Aramore around the technology and bring something truly new to market.
How does it feel to be a part of something that’s never been done before?
It’s energizing. There’s a challenge in leading with something new, especially when it involves educating people on unfamiliar science. But that’s also the opportunity. We’re not following trends. We’re helping redefine how people think about aging, about energy, and about their long-term health. That kind of impact is what drives me.
Can you explain the science behind the NAD+ Precursor Complex?
NAD+ is fuel for your cells. It powers energy production and repair, but our levels decline as we age. Applying NAD+ directly doesn’t absorb well, so we developed a patented blend of precursors and cofactors that help the body produce more of its own NAD+. Our topical formulas work where they’re applied, and our ingestible supplement supports full-body cellular energy. Together, they create a 360-degree approach to skin longevity and overall cellular health.
