Let the kids do the trick-or-treating early while the sun is still out. After dusk is time for Adulting Halloween and since you already did the trampy vixen costume and the cutesy bunny outfit, this year try something novel.
We’ve posted this in our haunted past and do so again this year for our new readers and as a reminder for our loyal followers. A sophisticated and creative makeup job is all you need to celebrate this mischievous holiday. Choose your favorite brand of makeup and simply use something like this image as a prototype but make it your own. You can also purchase stencils online or in specialty stores. If this is too artistically challenging for you, ask a creative friend or even a professional makeup artist — they can use the extra cash and Halloween is a money-grab day for their skills and business. We are sure you will be noticed and get compliments from friends, neighbors and perhaps a few ghouls for sporting more than just a smoky eye on All Hallows’ Eve.

Going to house party where everyone will be between the age of consent to real bones creaking? Bring the host/hostess this stunning conversation piece by Freshcut Paper. Their Moonlight Garden is a life-sized, pop-up bouquet and decoration that everyone will admire and talk about. The recipient(s) don’t have to throw it away after the festivities. It can be folded up for storage until the next mysterious gathering. It’s also noteworthy that you could mail these cards with USPS to friends and family who celebrate the spooky holiday for just a little extra postage. It’s a guarantee this gift will lift, or shall we say conjure up the spirits.
We plan to feature more of these ingenious and seasonal bouquet cards with the upcoming holidays.
Sales of Halloween pet costumes are expected to hit a howling $700 million this year. We admit that in the past we’ve been a part of those pricey impulsive purchases. I recommend that you make your own pet costume. Show off your creative side by turning a 2-dollar plastic tablecloth into a mask and superhero cape. We made a Pumpkin Bandit costume for our dog for under $6 by purchasing an inexpensive teddy bear off-season (the sweater) and a black napkin attached to an elastic band. The dog never forgave us but we bought her treats and a squeeze toy with the savings. Read the following link below for more ideas and treat baskets by American Pet Professionals. You don’t have to own a pet boutique to include our four legged friends this October.
Happy Boo to all!
