Beauty Best Bets + Must Trys For July 2025

Arbonne Natural Glow Foundation offers eight shades.. Now, that fact might give you pause for obvious reasons. The beauty industry has made MASSIVE strides with increased foundation and concealer shade offerings, with some brands disrupting the game and offering upwards of 50 shades and considering ALL skin tones. It’s been beautiful to witness. Before you assume Arbonne is going backwards or asking yourself, “How the heck is eight shades inclusive?,” the airy yet buildable medium coverage liquid foundation with a silky satin finish and a formula boasting good-for-skin ingredients, which I like to call “skingredients,” like hyaluronic acid, smoothing peptides, and lipid ceramide technology, allows you to feel like your wearing nothing at all.It was scientifically designed to match a wide range of skin tones. So it’s science-driven inclusivity. Here’s what the brand says. The foundation (and the skin tints covered below!) were crafted with advanced pigment technology along with the Fitzpatrick Skin Type scale to ensure that all skin tones were considered. The light and dark shades can be flexible for use across many undertones. Don’t scratch your head. Here’s an easy breakdown, provided by the brand. Light serves Fitzpatrick Types I–II, which is fair-to-light skin that burns easily and rarely tans. Medium fits Fitzpatrick Types II–III, which is light-to-medium skin that may burn initially but tans to a golden or beige. Dark is designed for Fitzpatrick Types IV–V, which are medium-to-deep skin that tan easily with minimal burning and warm or golden undertones. Lastly, Deep work for Fitzpatrick Types V–VI, which are deep brown-to-ebony skin that tans easily, rarely burns, and has neutral, golden, or red undertones. I am light, with skin that will turn tan. I am blessed with skin that doesn’t require much in the way of foundation. I found it glowy and silky and hydrating when applying.

Now, about Arbonne Sheer Coverage Skin Tint. It comes in four tones, is lightweight, hydrating, and gives skin that dewy glow. It’s got antioxidant vitamins B3, C,and E to give your skin itself a boost. It was formulated with the same scale as its sister foundation. It is a heavy lifter — diminishing redness, pores, uneven tone, and more. Add a dose of radiance and layerability and you’re golden. Quite literally. I quite liked this formula for summer skin, when it’s super hot and my oil skin already has some natural glow. This helped even me out without feeling heavy or cakey. Whether or not it suits your skin tone depends on the results you get when you test it out. Applying it felt like applying a tinted moisturize and the result mimicked my actual skin. It was breathable and creamy, and is my new facial fave.

The industry-wide lip gloss rebrand to “lip oil” or “gloss balm” continues with Caliray’s Lip Guard SPF 31 Lip Gloss Balm. With broad spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays, this mega shiny, non-sticky, semi-sheer, and balmy gloss protects your pout while adding supreme shine and hydration. I am absolutely in LOVE with Zuma, the soft pink shade. It’s VERY cotton candy concentrated in the tube, but it goes on sheer and petal-like. Be sure and tuck into your beach bag for any day you may be lounging on the beach or pocket it for any outdoor activity. Your lips and surrounding skin are just as susceptible to damage as the rest of your face. Note to those with nut allergies — the product features sweet almond oil, which may make it a no-go for you! It also smells like salt water taffy. Yummy

Half Magic and OVERCOMPENSATING (the Prime Video comedy series) makeup set is a MUST-own! The brand, launched by Euphoria makeup artist Donny Davey, is all about glitz, glitter, and glam, that is so, so wearable. The set includes the icy blue SPARKLESTIK, which is a one product smoky eye too in an ivy blue; the MAGIG DRIP lip gloss, which glimmers and shimmers in a super soft pink; CHEEK FLUFF, a buildable blush in a bright pink that applies in a softer, more diffused way; and FACE GEMS, which you pop off the sheet and add to your face, with no additional adhesive. Line along your brows, pop in the inner or outer corners, and play!

I know. The last thing you want to do is add another step to your beauty and skincare routine. Well, it’s time to change that thinking when the last step is a finishing touch product that balances, blurs, and glows. LYS BEAUTY understands that your look is predicated on where you end, not where you start! The brand’s buttery True Enlightenment Soft Focus Skin Finishing Powder is a mighty period to the end of your daily makeup sentence. The formula is a consummate multi-tasker that can serve as your bronzer, highlighter, and/or setting powder. The ultra-fine, marbelized powder, housed in the cutest triangle, lets you customize your look. Add a soft-focus glow to your brows and apples of your cheeks or dust over bare skin for a little bit of smooth, even glow. You can do so much with SO little and you won’t look radioactive, because the three-toned colors are soft and can be built and blurred. I tend to keep any sort of illuminating product light and liquid, but this powder is fine-milled and subtle. I kept stopping to admire every time I passed a mirror.

Call it comeback and thank a brand for LISTENING to its fans. How many times has a product you LOVED been discontinued, never to return?I remember when Gen Alpha BELOVED brand Sol de Janeiro dropped its coconut-scented products and its blue Cheirosa 39 fragrance mist. It smelled like buttered popcorn drizzled with melted vanilla sauce and dusted with coconut flakes, and I loved it. I spritzed my clothes, my pulse points, and my hair with it and inhaled all day long, since the staying power was so primo. The Internet was viciously divided, with many fans disliking its sweet x savory foodie smell. The brand course-corrected and re-released it shortly thereafter, with orchid notes cutting through some of the vanilla and the coconut. I VASTLY preferred the original, as did a small, vocal online community. Eventually, the brand discontinued Cheirosa 39 V. 2.0 and its body products. Still, brand fans continued to petition for its return. Fast forward to Summer 2025 and SdJ just brought it back and broke the interwebs while doing so. I decided to give it a second chance. Maybe my nose needs have changed or maybe I was just bitter that it replaced a scent I LOVED. Maybe it was reformulated “too soon” and I didn’t give its retooled version a proper chance. I am happy to say that this time out, I dig it. I am not a perfume person; I like to layer body lotions, oils, and fragrance mists for a customized aura, and I blasted my OOTD with Cheirosa 39 and it has major staying power and smells like the beach in a bottle. My olfactory settings sniff more coconut and praline this time out and still a bit of butter, but not nearly as much as the OG! Here’s hoping it stays, even though right now, it’s promoted as back “for a limited time.”

Glowbar is getting into the product game with its first-ever offering — the Expert Cleanser, which leaves no trace of “I woke up like this” or “next day” makeup. This clear gel takes it ALL off and doesn’t strip or dry skin. All it does is leave you fresh-faced and glowing. One pump is as powerful as it gets. I use it nightly after finishing my walking pad and steps routine and the remains of my makeup and my day circle the drain! I have ZERO issue with a multi-step skincare routine and double cleansing but on those late nights when I want to wash and crawl in to bed, THIS is what I reach for. My skin feels squeaky clean without feeling tight or stripped. Brand founder Rachel Liverman explained to Beauty News NYC Official how it works so efficiently, saying, “When we began developing Expert Cleanser more than two-and-a-half-years ago, our main priority was making sure it was effective. This might sound obvious, but not every brand puts in the time and effort to ensure results, despite it being extremely important for consumers. At Glowbar, we prioritize a clinical-grade, results-driven approach and we knew that if our first-ever product didn’t deliver on its promises, we wouldn’t be living up to our own standards.”

She continues, “We’re so proud that Expert Cleanser lives up to its promises, and then some; it tones, balances, gently exfoliates, eliminates the need for double cleansing and removes makeup, dirt, oil and pollution without being over drying. This is all thanks to its three main ingredients — White Willow Bark, Glycolic Acid (AHA) and Gluconolactone (PHA) — each of which was chosen for its efficacy and ability to produce results. While White Willow Bark isn’t a common skincare ingredient, it’s one we believe everyone should be using for its ability to treat congested or breakout-prone skin. And while AHA and PHA are more common, they’re nonetheless impactful in refining skin texture. Together, these ingredients give Expert Cleanser the grip of a gel cleanser and the gentleness of a cream cleanser. The best of both worlds!”

It’s been a minute since we’ve covered Kylie Cosmetics, one of the Internet’s favorite brands. The brand has reimagined its hero product matte Lip Kits in glossy form. While the products themselves aren’t really “new,” the brand made it easy and eliminated any guesswork by pre-pairing a liner and gloss for a contoured yet shiny lip with richly saturated pigment. It’s all the hue — minus the matte. If you want a no makeup day, but don’t want to forego glam, reach for the no pull and no skip creamy liner and glide-across-lips gloss

The flick. The wing. The cat eye. It’s gorgeous. It’s versatile. It can be done in so many ways. It’s also tough to master and easy to screw up! That’s why I adore Half Magic’s Wing Hack Set — a trio of products that help you draft, craft, and perfect your flick. You get the Magic Flik Liquid Eyeliner Pen, with its paddle-shaped tip for precision lines or thicker flickers. You also get the Wing Magician Silicone Guide to trace and guide your liner for dramatic, long, or short flicks. And since practice makes perfect with the wing, you also get the Flik Eraser Makeup Correcting Pen, which erases any mistakes or errant lines. With the same tip as Magic Flik, it boasts a special micellar blend so you can clean up the area you need to without messing up your shadow or other makeup in the eye area while making fixes. Skip the Q-tip dipped in eye makeup remover that makes a runny, oily mess and rock this. Be sure and keep the tip clean, though!
