Are You A Curly Haired Traveler? Pack Curlsmith

Midterms are upon students once again, which means weekend trips away from campus with Curlsmith. This curl-friendly brand launched its Defrizzion™ Travel Dryer, a portable hair dryer with three attachments.

Before I start blow drying, I cleanse with shampoo and deep condition my strands with the Multi-Tasking Conditioner. This curl quenching conditioner has three jobs: normal conditioner, deep conditioner, or leave-in. Depending on how busy or relaxed I am on the go, this conditioner is filled with protein (just enough for my low porosity curls) along with loads of oils to strengthen and smooth such as castor, babassu, jojoba, and hemp. I leave this luscious cream on my coils for twenty minutes and rinse with cool water.

Next, I add the Weightless Air Dry Cream, a leave-in that hydrates without leaving my hair heavy. Formulated with similar ingredients like jojoba, castor, and babassu there’s a special stimulating blend of ginger, nettle, and dragonfruit. I section my hair and apply a dollop into my palm, smoothing it in until fully coated.

Onto the fun part: the Defrizzion™ Travel Dryer. Curlsmith took their iconic regular dryer and made it portable for uni students like me who keep their suitcases always packed at a moment’s notice. It comes in a soft velvet pouch for easy storage and carrying, a major win in my book, since my bag can look like a hurricane went through it after a week’s getaway. Inside the bag, I keep the hair dryer, which uses ionizing defrizzing technology (aka: keeps my curls from getting static-y). I plug it into the wall and attach the 6-inch diffuser head, that has a bowl about the size of my face! It captures all of my hair and the long prongs not only help blow-dry quicker, but stimulate my roots. The settings are easy to switch between and the hot isn’t too hot (trust me, I’ve burned myself on hair dryers by accident in the past) since the product is made from porcelain ceramic, a cooler material than traditional titanium. If I’m in the mood to stretch my hair there’s a comb head and a regular sideways nozzle for regular blow drying. Truly a blow dryer for all occasions near or far, so what can I say… Curlsmith has done it again!
