As someone who has extremely straight and pretty fine hair, I’ve ALWAYS wanted volume and curls (we all want what we don’t have!) and from a very young age I started experimenting with all sorts of ways to get my dream locks. I’ve definitely tried some crazy trends; from wrapping my hair around a hundred pins to get super tight little curls, sleeping with 10 braids in my hair, and of course the popular heatless-curl wrap method. But something that I had never tried were hot rollers! When I saw these Volumizing Hot Rollers from T3, I knew I had to get my hands on them.
My initial thoughts when opening up my T3 package was how aesthetically pleasing they were! They come in a storage case that feels buttery and chic, and look good to store on a shelf in plain view. The rollers come already placed on the base where they heat up, so all you have to do is take the set out of the storage case and plug them in. The instructions are super easy to follow, just pressing the on button and adjusting for the high or low heat setting. Once you see the light on for either the low or high setting, you wait for these babies to heat up! You’ll know they are ready to go when there is a circle that appears on each of the top of the rollers.
This set comes with 8 rollers: 4 x 1.5″ and 4 x 1.75″. At first, I thought that this might not be enough for my long hair, but I was wrong! Every time I’ve used these, I’ve had more than enough to wrap my full head and even left with one extra unused. I use the larger 1.75″ barrel rollers where I want the most volume at the top front and back of my head, and the smaller 1.5″ barrel rollers at the bottom portion of my head to get tighter curls. Taking the rollers off the charging base was easy, and because each roller has a CoolGrip feature, wrapping my hair around the roller was effortless. The set also comes with 8 Crease-Free Clips. Once the roller is wrapped up to the top of my head, I secure it with the clip and start the next one!
On my first attempt, I thought I would turn off the charging base and then put the rollers in- do not do this! This cools the rollers and by the time the last roller is in they are already a little too cool for the hair to hold the curl once taken out. I learned that you have to keep the storage base on the whole way through to get those perfect waves. My second try was a success!
Needless to say, I’m obsessed! This has to be the fastest, and easiest way to get that blowout look at minimal effort. I’ve now used the T3 Volumizing Hot Rollers countless times. You can catch me with my hot rollers in first thing in the morning, letting them cool while I do my makeup- 10 minutes and I’m done! With volume and curled ends that last the entire day.
