Natural hair is my pride and joy but sometimes I want to change it up. Here’s my routine to silky straight hair from start to finish:
I use the Say Yes Tea Tree line to cleanse and condition my hair. The Soothing Scalp Treatment is my pre-shampoo treatment to break down any leftover products on my scalp and cleanse any dirt or oils that build up. I like the little scrubby nib on the top that really gets into my roots. I leave it on for five minutes as the witch hazel, ACV, and sage work their magic to leave my roots soothed and fresh. I follow up with the Yes to Tea Tree Scalp Relief Shampoo and Conditioner to leave my hair fresh and prepped for the following steps.
Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Masque
To add extra hydration, I apply dpHUE’s Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Masque. Don’t worry, none of their ACV line smells like vinegar, it only has the benefits! This masque is made with smart proteins that seal moisture into the hair. Plus it’s a whipped texture that is cloud-like. I put my hair up and wait twenty minutes. Once I rinse it out, I’m gifted with soft strands.
Apple Cider Vinegar Daily Scalp Serum
I apply the Apple Cider Vinegar Daily Scalp Serum to my scalp. It’s cooling and supposed to support hair growth, which is exactly what I want when going in with straighteners and twisting my hair.
Before I apply heat, I use the Color Fresh Oil Therapy, only applying a little bit in my hands (it goes a long way!) It helps to speed up drying, which enables me to get my hair done faster. Not only does it protect my hair, but gives it that shine that I love. No crispy or fried hair here!
Bombay Hair Pro Hair Styling Tools Rose Gold Flat Iron
I use my Bombay Hair Pro Hair Styling Tools Rose Gold Flat Iron to straighten. It is super chic and heats up like a dream. I only need one pass to leave my hair silky smooth. It is made with 100% Titanium plates which leaves hair in better shape compared to ceramic. I can quickly straighten and add a little wave to give my hair that body and flow. I can feel my best knowing I put the work in to take care of my curls, even when they’re straight.
