Candles always make a room more special in the way they scent the air along with their eye catching beauty. And in these crazy days of more time at home, we can use something blissful to make our environment more comfortable and appealing. These 5 candles, all long lasting, come in lovely vessels that can be used over and over again. Gift yourself or a friend one of these beautifully scented candles; you’ll be glad you did.
Krigler Lovely Patchouli 55
From the haute perfume house of Krigler, one of my favorite perfumes is their Lovely Patchouli 55, so when I learned that they created a candle from this intoxicating fragrance, I couldn’t wait to try it. And it lives up to all expectations, including the sweet pink glass vessel which represents the color of love. Speaking of love, you may be interested in knowing that Lovely Patchouli was the signature perfume of Jackie Kennedy Onassis and she was given her first bottle of it when Onassis asked her to marry him in NY’s famed Plaza Hotel where the Krigler boutique still stands. Don’t let the word patchouli throw you off, this isn’t a heavy patchouli scent at all. It’s soft and pretty and adds a balanced warmth to the sweet amber notes of bergamot, musk and red fruits. The best word to describe this candle? Why lovely, of course!

Bond No. 9 Central Park West
Central Park West by Bond No. 9 captures the spirit of New York’s incredible oasis in the middle of busy, buzzy Manhattan. So many of us native NYers consider this our backyard and have spent days there enjoying the zoo, skating (roller & ice), rowing on the lake or just taking a break from the city life beyond its stone walls. It’s near and dear to every heart and this beautifully scented candle will remind people of their favorite Central Park moments. You’ll savor the notes of narcissus, ylang ylang, black pepper, gardenia, jasmine, musk and white oak. And for those who don’t know our incredible park, this candle will still delight your spirits with its uplifting floral fragrance and cool looking vessel with flower lid.

Vela Negra Candles
Vela Negra Candles are made using black soy wax, burn with two wooden crackling wicks, and their aromas are wicked good! The creator believes that the black wax absorbs and dispels negative energy, and we all could use more positivity, right?. The lovely scents are availability in three sizes, travel, medium and super large so there’s one for everyone in terms of budget and fragrance. This season I’m enjoying Coqui – an ode to the namesake cocktail of Puerto Rico – with notes of honey, coconut, clove and a little brown sugar. It’s light and not overly sweet. I’m also enjoying Morena – a creamy, cozy blend of cocoa, vanilla, roasted almond, honey and fresh berries that would please anyone.
All these candles are irresistible and there’s something for every taste and budget.
