Fall Makeup Trends For 2025: Blonzer, Frosted, Cloud Blush & More

Merit beauty

Although you can always do whatever you please with makeup, and not even wear makeup, these are the general trends that have become entrenched for Fall 2025. They’re an engaging mix of bold and minimalist looks, so mix-and-match to suit your own personal style:

Urban Decay for eyes

Bold smoky eyes and frosted eyes are paired with minimal skin or a satin, dewy finish for a modern look. You would focus on rich, deep shades like chocolate brown or smoky blacks for the eyes. Some people will never give up their mascara, even if it’s the only thing makeup they wear, but there is a “less is more” trend that eschews mascara in favor of letting other eye makeup shine. Classic black liner is presented as grunge glam with bold lines and colorful statement-eyeliner.

Shades by Shan for berry lips

Lip colors naturally range from the darker matte and berry shades of fall and winter to nuder summer tones. Deep, rich berry shades like blackberry, mulberry, and dark cherry are replacing classic red for an updated twist, and on the other end of the spectrum, nude tones for layering and hydrating in lighter coral, peach, and mauve offset dark eyes. Matte lips with a matte lip liner is still a preference.

Glossier for Cheeks

On the cheeks, a fuzzy and dreamy “cloud blush” or a blend of blush and bronzer (“blonzer) is trending, which is a nice way to segue from summer to fall and maintaining a sun-kissed look. A softer haze of color on the cheeks is popular, replacing the glazed-donut shimmer of summer.

Mac eye shadow

Eyeshadow is taking on a frosty patina, with sheer icy color washes in silver, pink, or taupe, often paired with liner.

Chella brow kit

Brows are currently trending towards minimalist styles, highlighted with lined color. Natural, defined brows without the heaviness is trending, as is the use of brow pencils for a defined, sometimes colorful, look.
