NYC’s own Mugzy Mcfly is the creative designer behind Signed by McFly, a black-owned fashion label based in the Bronx. McFly creates streetwear for all from sneakers to jackets, swimwear, collabs, caps, onesies, Tees, and much more. A self-taught designer, Mugzy took one free sewing class at a local fabric shop in the Bronx, and that was all he needed to know what his life path would be. for summer, you’ll find one-of-kind swimwear and slide-ins for the beach.
At a young age, Mugzy began ordering things online then trying to recreate the tailoring techniques in order to learn how to achieve a good stitch. He wanted to be able to spot designs of good quality and create them himself.
Mugzy attributes his experiences growing up in the Bronx to his success, since his neighborhood provided enormous inspiration for his unique fashion line. The sweatpants are super soft and unique and the T-shirts are perfect for summer. Varsity jackets, sports bras, and the bodysuits are all distinctive, as are various collabs with the NY Yankees + Savior.
