Winter is the time for nesting, and with this November cold front passing through NYC, I’ve already spent more time at home. It’s the perfect time to re-invest in your space—if we’re going to spend the next four months indoors, we might as well make it look pretty.
These are three of my recent favorite finds to kick off the homebody months.
To stay cozy
A statement blanket can really change the vibe of a room. I get cold easily, so I recently added the Dots Throw ($195) from 4AP to my couch. Aside from it being a comfortable blanket, it serves as another art piece and ties in the colors of my living room so beautifully.
The whimsical characters were created by NYC-based Venezuelan artist Frank Alcock. I love the range of faces and expressions, and the playful design is a huge conversation starter with guests. If you’re a modern maximalist, you need to add to cart immediately. If you’re a minimalist, this piece is on the bolder side, but the colors are actually neutral enough to add a cute touch to any space.
To sleep deep
You’ve probably seen the statistic that we spend 1/3 of our lives in bed. Creating a comfortable sleeping environment is so important for our health, and pillows are a vital component. The Graphite Memory Foam Pillow ($165) from Saatva contours to your body to provide optimal support for your head and neck. It comes in two heights: standard loft, for back and stomach sleepers, or high loft, for side or combination sleepers. I have a high loft, and it’s super plush while still feeling sturdy.
The advanced graphite technology also keeps you cool, making it great for hot sleepers. For those who crank up their thermostat in the winters, this is a perfect choice.

To stay bright
It’s necessary to add a bit of sunshine to these dreary, blustery mornings. I hung up this Orange Branch Suncatcher ($53) from Avalglass in my kitchen, and it always makes me smile when I look out the window. Each stained glass piece is handcrafted in a small, family-owned studio. The artistry in the shaping and painting is beautiful, and the leaf over the orange in this particular design adds a fun 3D effect.
